Possible trigger warning: slight description of injury, cursing.
As the footsteps came closer to him, Tubbo got increasingly worried. What if they got caught? Who were these people? Thoughts ran through the young childs mind, as he heard another set of running footsteps coming closer to the room. Thats when he heard someone yell, "HEY! When did we restort to breaking and entering." The footsteps froze, more talking as Tubbo moved the pillow bearly in hopes of confirming Tommy was safe. He didn't know when they left, but they did, and it was all to scilent for Tommy to be here. "T-Tommy...?" Tubbo whispered, slowly moving out from under the older brothers bed.
Tubbo started to cry, he lost his younger brother. It was all his fault, right? It had to be. Tubbo slowly moved to the closet, the one place that could confirm if his brother was truly gone. He slowly opened the left door, and pushed the clothes to the side. There sat a scilent, shaking, Tommy. "Toms! Your okay!" Tubbo shouted, pulling his brother into a hug and quietly asking, "Whats wrong...?" Tommy moved to hug his brother as tight as he could, slowly saying, "I-I saw.... You we're taken.. You're okay?" Tommy looked up to meet his brother's surprised eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. They didn't get me." The two sat in the pinkish red room that was Technoblades and listened. Trying to hear any sign they had stayed or that it was a robbery, something. But all they were met with was deafing scilence.
"I think their gone..." Tubbo muttered, after what felt like an eternity of scilence. He moved to help his brother out of the closet and into the middle of the room, the younger taking charge quickly. "Alright, grab a sword or something. From what I saw in my weird vison thing, they had iron swords and no armor." Tubbo nodded, moving to the chest at the foot of the bed and throwing it open. Inside were some training wepons, mostly consisting of wood and stone with a few golden ones, and a few hats made of iron. Tommy made sure Tubbo had the best of the armor. "Man. Maybe Techno rambling about his armor was helpful to hear." Tubbo said, adjusting the helmet and inspecting the wepons. Tommy laughed and added, "or his talk of wepons. We should listen to him more often." Both looked at each other and laughed, knowing that wasn't happening anytime soon. Tommy grabbed the best sword there, handing a bow to Tubbo and saying, "Phil taught you how to use this, right?" Tubbo nodded. Of course it was a toy bow and arrow, but it should still work the same.
The two set off into the house, moving slowly and avoiding any possible creaks the floor could possibly make. They went room to room, checking every hiding spot they knew existed and closing every window to ease a bit of the anxiety both felt. As the search ended, they put a chair infrount of every door and making sure they were properly locked. Neither knew how the group got in with a locked door, but it wasn't a normal break in. Noting was taken and the two only wanted to find them. "We'll be fine. Lets camp in Techno's room for now." Tommy said, getting a nod of agreement from Tubbo.
The next 7 days were torcher for the two, only leaving to eat or check out a noise. Tommy heard light talking of their family walking up to the door. Quickly, he and Tubbo moved the chairs back to there original places before running towards their shared room. They jumped under the covers, not bothering to change into pj's, and pretend to be asleep. "Tommy? Tubbo?" They heard a voice call out, it was Phil's for sure. Footsteps accompanied the voice as they approached the room. Both boys got scared, what if it wasn't their father? When the door opened they heard a sigh and heard movement and a quick, "Look at this! They got into your wepons. What if they injured themselves?" There was metal hitting against itself, followed by a door quietly closing and more talking.
Tubbo and Tommy both sat up, Tubbo saying, "smShould we tell them what happened the night before?" Tommy looked baffled, whisper shouting, "Are you crazy? Can you imagine the consequences of that! No more going outside, no more being us two. It would be a nightmare!" Tubbo moved over to Tommy, muttering, "Maybe that's for the best. You saw what happened! You got hurt by them! What if it wasn't your arm, but your chest or leg? That forest is trouble, anyways." Tommy laughed, venom dripping from his voice, "You belive in those dumb stories? They have no proof! If that's why people get weird powers, then why won't more people go in and get those abilities!" Tubbo showed clear anger in his face, but he held back and instead said, "Alright. Lets say we were playing with wepons and cut I stabbed your arm or something so we can give you proper treatment." Tommy sighed, adding, "And I'll say it was my fault we even touched the wepons in the first place." The two smiled at the other and nodded. They were good at getting a smaller punishment if they both admitted to being in the wrong.
A week late
Tommy was looking out the window in his room, everyone else asleep in their beds as it was early morning. Tommy pulled out a clock from his small bag and checked the markings he had down. The markings showed when his dad and brothers normally got up, Phil up first, then Wilbur, then Tubbo, and last Techno. Tommy already planned for his small adventure. See, Tommy always had to prove himself to somebody, mostly himself. To show himself he truly wasn't weak, he'd go on small adventures early in the morning and return around when Wilbur would wake up. A full hour of exploring and learning the ways of the forest he still partly feared. He imagined the sting of the arrow tearing his skin and he almost backed out. But he couldn't. His older brothers and father would go on adventures, even if they were worried. It didn't matter to them, cause they were strong. He looked back over at Tubbo. He always seemed to trust Tommy. Maybe that's the real reason he had to go on these dumb adventures into the woods. So if anything did happen, he was prepared. Tommy smiled and looked to the door, making sure it was closed before he slowly opened the window just enough for him to crawl through.
"Fresh air..." Tommy said aloud to nobody in particular. He loved nature, as much as he'd refuse to admit it. He didn't know why, but it was like the woods called him, taunted him. Before Tommy entered the forest, he pulled out a map he was working on. He remembered the long walks and all the running just to get the prarimiter and any land marks to indicate where he was. It wasn't the best, but his 8 year old self was proud. He decided to try and find a lake he could bring Tubbo too. It seemed like something his brother would enjoy. Or maybe he could find a beehive. Honestly, water sounded easier to find, and was more tempting as he wasn't fond of bees. He listened around for any noise he heard, remembering what Wilbur told him once, "If your ever lost, listen for running water then go the direction of the water flow. It will lead you back to safty or somewhere you recognize." Tommy remembered rolling his eyes at the dumb sentence, he had joked about never getting lost because he was a man but he still enjoyed the advice. He smiled as something flashed in his eyes, him screaming on the ground as Tubbo ran to his side. Fight or flight kicked in and he ran back in the direction of his house. He heard water and stopped, looking to his left and walking down that path. The future had been changed by his hands, maybe the water was were he needed to go to be safe. He never saw any water around in the future.
Tommy lookeda at the weirdly clear water, slowly moving his fingers into it. It was transparent water. Tommy sat down beside it and stuck his whole hand in, laughing at how his hand disappeared. He took his hand out of the water and saw it glow slightly. What was this? He watched as the water slowly turned back into the blue color it should have been. Tommy backed away and ran, not caring to mark anything down cause he was certainly not showing Tubbo. He'd be deemed crazy. His hand started to burn, Tommy saw the house not to far from him. The pain in his hand became almost too much to deal with. Thats when he saw from the window a figure shoot up, look at something, then the window, and suddenly someone was climbing out of it. "Tommy!?" Tubbo shouted, both started running to the other. "Don't worry Tubbo, your safe." Tommy set his slightly glowing hand on Tubbo's shoulder, forgetting the pain until it was to late. Pain shot the two as they heald onto one another.
Then, just as fast as it came, it all stopped. The two stared at one another as Tommy thought, "What the hell just happened?" "I don't know," Tubbo muttered. Terror filled Tommy as he said, "How did you hear my thoughts?"
