The story of Jace and Clary

5: The Proposal

Jace's pov
As I go to pick up the ring, I notice that it is way more shiner then I remembered. It had gorgeous herons that were made up of diamonds and the band was solid gold. When I saw it at the jewelers I said to him jokingly " are you sure this is my ring for Clary". He smiled back at me and said " yes sir. This is your ring." I smile as I pay for it and get it into the box that's really pretty. I have my glamour on as I'm walking down the street and thinking how I am going to ask Clary to marry me.

I am in my tux waiting to tell Clary that she needs to get dressed up for our one year anniversary. I walk to her room door at the institute and knock on it. She comes to the door already in a gorgeous red dress to match her wonderful red hair. It looks like she is wearing Izzy's red six inch heels and rockin them too. I look at her stunned that she was ready and I never even told her to get ready. I asked her "why did you get ready like that?" and she just looked at me like I was an idiot.

We walked down to the greenhouse and had our candle lit dinner catered by Taki's. I ordered the same old dinner that we always get and we both enjoyed it like it was a stack of bacon. After the dinner I told her to go to the staircase were we kissed. It was almost midnight. Our one year was finally here.

She walks over to the case and we have a wonderful make out session till the flowers open indicating thats its midnight. Clary pulls away and says " happy one year baby." I say " happy one year love." I pull her arms off my neck and get down on one knee and and pull out the box. I get extreamly nervous and as I start to see her tear up I quickly pop the question.

"Clary, I thought that this would be the best anniversary gift ever and we have been through a lot together." I say kinda nervously.

"Jace what are you trying to say." she says starting to cry.

"What I'm trying to say is that it would be an honor to have your hand in marriage." I say just wanting to kiss her already.

"Awe Jace yes I will defentaly be your wife." she says almost on a full on cry.

I quickly pull her in for a kiss and say " I love you Mrs. Herondale."

She pulls away and says " I love you too Mr. Herondale."

We run back to my room and I get undressed and she get in some very sexy clothes and we make out like we never have had before. We are trying not to have sex until after the wedding. That will happen even though we are both tempted to do it. I made a promise to my self and her that we would not have sex until we are married. We kept making out till dawn came.
