Lucifer walked to the nurses’ station and smiled at the familiar face.  He held up the bouquet of flowers he had picked up on the way to the hospital like he had been for the past three weeks Julie had been unconscious.  “How is she today? Awake yet?”

The nurse cleared her throat and leaned forward, “She woke up flailing and screaming today.”

Lucifer frowned, “Is she alright?” His voice sounded concerned but he knew she had finished the vision he had planted there three weeks ago, “Can I see her?”

The nurse nodded her head, “Of course, they sedated her hours ago, maybe she’ll feel better seeing a familiar face.”

Lucifer patted the counter and made his way down the hall to Julie’s room.  He knew she wasn’t going to be happy with him but he would explain everything as they left the hospital.  Julie opened her eyes the minute the door opened.

“You!” She growled, sitting up on the bed, becoming defensive instantly.

He smiled, closing the door behind him, “Glad to see you’re feeling better.”

“What was that? Some kind of implanted memory?”

Lucifer pulled the flowers from the vase he had put there the day before and replaced them with the fresh ones, “It wasn’t implanted.  It was the truth Julie.  You needed to see it.  It was for your own good.”  He sat on the edge of the bed, “I’m sorry for being so blunt about it, but you wouldn’t have believed me any other way.”

“It has to be a lie, Michael saved me from David.” Julie moved away from him swinging her legs over the edge of the bed and she slowly stood, feeling the familiar uncomfortable tension when he sat.

“Because the Witch and Michael had discussed cutting the Demon out.” He said Michaels name with such disdain it caught Julie off guard.

“And how do you know all this?” Julie turned to look him in the eye.

“I have my adversaries all over the place.”

“What are you? Who are you?”

“I’ve been called different names in life. You can call me Tyre.”

Julie rolled her brown eyes at him, “So what are you Tyre?”

He smiled at her, “I’ve been called many things, but I was an Angel of Light.”

Julie grunted again as she mumbled, “Great, another Angel.”

Lucifer stood from the bed, “Are you ready to help me now?”

Julie shook her head, “Hell no! I was almost killed trying to help the last angel, which, if you’re right, was going to betray me! What makes you think I want to trust another one?”

Lucifer smirked as he closed the space between them, forcing Julie into the wall behind her, “I suggest you think twice before you make your final decision Julie.”

Julie swallowed hard, “And why is that?”

Lucifer grabbed her wrist, pinning it to the wall, “Because I saved you, you owe me your gratitude as well as your life,” He growled at her through clenched teeth.

Julie tried to swing at him with her other arm but he caught it and pinned it against the wall by her head, “Now, I recommend we stop this ridiculous behavior before I’m forced to take what I have given you back.”
