Lucifer wasn’t sure what she had dreamt of, but it worried him.  He knew that by showing her the past there was a chance that by her touching his mind there could be a connection.  Her being a powerful Witch made that chance even higher.  She could be able to see his past memories as well as he did.  She was sitting at the end of the bed flipping through the channels when Lucifer got out of the shower.

“Now a nap and I’ll be good as new.”

“That’s the most you’ve said to me in three hours. I figured I had hit a nerve.” Julie said to the T.V.

Lucifer folded his dirty clothes and placed them on the dresser before he looked out the window.  They were secluded inside a forest of cypress trees, “That’s why they called me the Angel of Light.  I thought it strange you could know that.”

Julie looked from the T.V. to him at the window.  His skin was giving off a soft glow as he stood in the sun light.  The shirt he had on buttoned up, but he hadn’t buttoned it all the way.  From where she sat she could see the pendant hanging from his gold necklace.  It was a jewel encrusted gold cross, “Nice necklace.”

He turned from the window and came to sit beside her on the bed, pulling his necklace from out of his shirt and taking it off, examining it as he said, “It has rubies, diamonds, emeralds, topaz, and onyx in it.  It was a gift from God.  It’s very old.”

Julie took it in her hand, examining it herself very closely.  After a few moments she slowly gave back to his open hand, her hand lightly brushing his as she did so.  When she looked up his eyes were locked on hers.  She looked away quickly and stood up, “I’m going to take a shower now.”

Lucifer watched her go and let out a deep breath when the bathroom door closed.  She was a very powerful Witch; he could feel it in her touch.  It was that kind of power that could destroy the book.  How he was going to convince her to do it was a totally different situation.  He felt a light touch on his shoulder and he turned quickly.

Michael stood behind him, his silver eyes locked on Lucifer, “You’re lying to her.”

Lucifer shrugged his shoulders and stood from the bed, “Not as much as you did.”

“I made a mistake joining the campaign in the first place. And I will never make that mistake again.” Michael growled.

Lucifer laughed, “Guess you’ll never get a chance to make that mistake again though.  Self righteousness got you back into Heaven didn’t it?”

Michael narrowed his eyes, “I will not let your blasphemy anger me Lucifer.”

“Oh I’m not being blasphemous by any means Brother.  Good for you on getting back in. Congratulations.”   Lucifer smirked, walking back over to the window, “Had to leave your loved one behind though to do it, too bad.”

Michael growled, his silver eyes, glowing brighter, “You are a traitor to Heaven! You always have been and always will be.”

YOU are the traitor! You were my number one in the campaign Brother!” Lucifer said as he turned from the window.

You got us kicked out of Heaven.” Michael’s voice rose in anger.

“And you gave up on the battle and war that you helped me start, all because you fell in love with a Witch.” Lucifer turned back to the window.

The bathroom door opened and Julie stepped out in her hospital robe.  Lucifer looked over to where Michael had been standing; he was gone.  He turned back to Julie standing in front of him.  Even though Michael was gone from his sight, he could still feel his presence.
