“Let her go Raphael.” Lucifer’s voice startled the Archangel as he was bending to pick up Julies unconscious body.

Raphael stood, broadening his already wide frame as he turned to face him, “Your plans are going to fail.”

Lucifer laughed, “What makes you so sure?”

Raphael shook his head in shame, his blue eyes locking onto Lucifer, “Michael saved her soul when he sacrificed himself.”

“And the dead unborn child? That was marked for me Brother, Michael helped with that. So by technicality I win.”

Raphael growled, “This is no game Lucifer, and I am not your Brother. I am not related to snakes.”

Lucifer laughed again, “Snake?” He shrugged, “I’ve been called worse.” He stepped forward and motioned to Julie, “Give me my vessel.”

Raphael narrowed his eyes, “I cannot do that. I have orders.”

“From God? Or has Michael sent you, the same man that betrayed us all? Tell him he can still use her body part of the time when I rule over this disgraceful world.”

“No one sent me; I am here to save her.”

“Again?” Raphael looked confused and Lucifer laughed a little harder this time, “I know you had something to do with her survival. Had she died it would have been easier for me to use her body.  But it works out better this way- she can destroy the book that almost destroyed me and then I can use her to destroy this world.”

Raphael bent to one knee and bowed his head.  Touching Julies side, he whispered a few words and before Lucifer’s eyes they both disappeared.

Julie was back in the bathroom inside the safe house.  The pain was so intense she didn’t want to move from where she sat against the bathtub on the floor.

“I’m here to help you, but I have to be quick or you won’t survive.” The man’s voice brought Julie’s eyes to his face.

It was Raphael.

“Am I going to die?” Julie’s voice was weak as she spoke.

Raphael smiled and touched her face softly; making the pain less intense for Julie as he said, “Not yet child.”

He lifted her in his arms and they appeared in front of the local hospital.  Raphael placed her on the bench in front of the ER entrance softly.  Julie heard him praying in front of her as he bent down on one knee.

“Miss are you ok?” A female nurse standing outside of the building smoking a cigarette asked sounding nervous as she approached Julie, “Oh God… Miss? Grab the Doctor! She’s bleeding!” The nurse then screamed over her shoulder, rushing to Julie’s side as she dropped her cigarette.

Julie watched as Raphael stood, unnoticed by the other nurses that rushed out to help Julie from the bench, “He will come for you, but only you can choose what is right child.”

A nurse stepped in front of Julie, blocking her view of Raphael as she looked at her face and when she moved out of the way again, Raphael was gone…

Julie opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling fan above her.  She was lying on the bed inside their room of the Bed and Breakfast.  The door opened and Tyre walked in with a coffee in his hand and a smile on his face.

“Well, did you see anything?”

Julie frowned, sitting up on the bed, rubbing her temples.  Her head was pounding, “What do you mean?”
