Chase grab his stuff. "I never wanted to do this essay. Just make something up and write it down. I will make it up some how," he walked out.
I just sat there staring at nothing replaying the event in my head. I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. I got up and went to my room. I forgot my phone on my bed. It ringed. I picked it up. A message from Chase.
Sorry, was all it said.
I threw it back on my bed. I grabbed my pajamas so I could take a bath. It was still early but it was the only thing that could clear my mind.
I finished just as I heard the front door open. I heard Lena run though the house and mom telling her to stop.
I walked out and Lena ran towards me. I grabbed her and picked her up
"Oh, your getting so big" I said to her.
She giggled.
Mom didn't plan on having another kid, but when she found out she was pregnant with Lena she was overjoyed. I was twelve, so that was news to me.
I put her down and she went to her room.
"Didn't your essay partner come" my mom asked.
"Yeah, I rather not talk about it," I said.
She raised a eyebrow. "Did he do anything."
"No. He's just not a easy person to get along with," I said.
She didn't say anything, she just turned around.
I headed back to my room and laid on my bed and picked up my phone. Nothing, I had no friends at school. I never talked in school, not even when the teacher called on me. I would just sit there like a idiot.
My thoughts wondered back to Chase. As soon as I thought about him I got a uneasy feeling in my stomach. Almost like butterflies.
No, I will not think like this, I thought, pushed everything down and tried to clear my mind.
