The next day at school Chase and I barely looked at each other.

At lunch Chase was sitting with Josh and Kathleen. They are the punks of the school. Kathleen with her long dark hair that was shaved off on one side and Josh with his leather jacket and biker boots.

He glanced my way and I looked down as quick as I could.

I saw a shadow at the corner of my eye. I thought it was Chase, but when I looked up it was Kathleen.

"Can I sit here," she asked.

She looked at me with her big brown eyes. She had very dark eyeliner around them.

"Hi, I'm Kathleen, but you can call me Kay," she smiled.

"I'm Becca," I smiled back

"Do you want to sit with us," she pointed at her table.

"Sure." I answered.

Kay helped me gather my stuff.

She looked at my necklace." Your necklace is pretty."

"Thank you."

When I sat at the table Josh and Chase was in a conversation about motorcycles.

"Hey guys can you shut up and have a conversation about something we all can talk about," Kay said.

"Well why don't you just leave than," Josh smirked.

"But then I wouldn't see your pretty face," she pouted.

They busted out laughing.

Josh got up. "You coming Chase,"

They got up and left.

"Before you asked you probably don't want to know what they're doing. I bet they're robbing a helpless woman, but I don't know," Kay giggled.

"Are you and Josh dating," I asked.

She gasped, "You didn't know we're dating."

"I was making sure."

She laughed, "Are you and Chase dating."

"NO"

I turned bright red. She laughed until she was crying.

"My goodness. You was acting like I asked you if you wanted me to murder your family," she said still laughing.

"We're not dating," I said.

"Are you doing anything this weekend?" She asked me.

"Not really," I answered.

She gave me her number and told me to see if we could hang out sometime
