Clearly, I like to name my stories with "Day".
Andrea stood outside. It was cold, as expected during the winter months. Everything was coated in a sparkling blanket of white, almost blinding her thanks to the light of the sun. Although, it was bright, the sun did nothing to heat the crisp air.
Andrea found it easier to breathe outside, which contrasted greatly to the merry mayhem going on inside her house. The air was not piercingly freezing to her, and instead refreshing. All was quite and settle outside during the winter. And quiet and settle was just what Andrea needed while the Christmas party raged on inside her house. There were too many people inside, too much going on. Her aunts all gossiping with each other, her uncles' hearty, booming laughs, the younger cousins playing, her brothers breaking out World War 3 in her living room was just a lot to handle at once. She needed a minute to be away, to have some peace and-
Thunk.
Something cold exploded onto the back of her head, and suddenly Andrea was laying face down in the snow. Laughter erupted behind her. Andrea sat up quickly to find her older sister doubling over in laughter.
A sly smirk found its was onto Andrea's face, and a mischievous idea formed in her mind. She took some snow from beside her into her gloved hand. She patted it tightly together in a perfect little ball while she stood up. While her sister was still distracted, she launched her frozen weapon at her stomach, hitting a bullseye. Her sister, not prepared for the impacted, fell backwards onto her backside in the snow. She looked at Andrea with shock, although there was a playful spark in her eyes.
Maybe Andrea came outside to get away from the chaos, but that didn't mean she wasn't up for starting some.
-Peace out my dudes! ✌️
