This was out holiday prompt. I'm Muslim, so my family doesn't celebrate Christmas, but I still find it a really nice time of the year. I had fun with this one. The title is pretty self explanatory.
Most people know Santa as the big guy who magically appears one night and delivers presents to all the kids in the world. But, no one really knows what he does the rest of the year. Many believe that he makes and packages the gifts, or that he oversees the elves as they do so. Maybe some people believe that he renews his Naughty and Nice List™ every year.
What most people probably don't know it that, he actually doesn't do anything Christmas related until December. That kind of stuff is up to the elves. What Santa actually did the rest of the year was pursue his long lasting dream.
Santa was a baker.
He was surprised that not one person on the globe had guessed that, considering his love for cookies and milk.
Before he started spreading joy around the world in the form of wrapped happiness, Santa had always loved baking. He loved mixing ingredients, rolling the dough, the warmth of the oven. He had always thought it was amazing how one could take ingredients that weren't always appealing on their own and turn them into something delicious.
And he figured that if he couldn't give children presents everyday of the year, he could still spread joy in the form of sweets.
