Technoblade 1st Person POV
I'm not sure why, but I found myself typing in a certain address into the GPS in my car. I was quickly on my way to a music studio. One I knew nothing about to go learn an instrument made of black and white sticks. But it was pretty, and if that guy that was pretty damn good looking was there... What the hell is wrong with me? I grit my teeth, cringing internally. What the hell? Being gay is fine, but I'm not gay.
I bite my lip hard, nearly drawing blood as I push away my thoughts best I can. I shove my focus to the road. It's 10 A.M. What is with me, going to start getting lessons to play the piano. I roll my eyes, pissed at myself but also a bit entranced. It is somehow fun to toy the idea of trying something like this, but definitely not something I would've imagined myself doing a few months ago.
I restrain from releasing another sigh as I pull into the parking lot. Just grabbing my keys, phone, and wallet, I lock up the car and head for the studio's door. It swings open easily, and I just walk in. The opening room wasn't terribly big, and looked like a miniature hotel lobby. To my right, there was an entire wall of instruments to purchase, a waiting room in the back, and the cash register to the left. On the far side of the room was a hallway with tons of doors.
The only thing I could hear were faint voices and notes coming from back there. There was one person other than me in the waiting room type area, and that was the cashier person. I walked up to the counter, and the lady looked up from her phone at him. Her smile radiated with falsity and I nearly roll my eyes at her feeble attempt.
"Hi, my name's Jess, what can I do for you?" The girl sat her phone down on the countertop and stares at me expectingly.
"Uhh..." I try not to speak in a too monotoned voice, not wanting to seem impolite, "Can I get lessons here... for the piano?"
"Mhm. You can. We actually have someone who just recently finished apprenticeship and became a teacher, so we have an open slot for a full time tutor if that's something you're interested in?" she says bored an uninterested.
I'm astounded by her lack of respect, and decide to reply in kind, "And the price would be?"
"He usually charges around 75, but it relatively gets less and less as he befriends his apprentices and lessons become more of hanging out time." Her eyes flare up and then back down in a circular motion. I grit my teeth at her nerve.
This nerd thinks she's too good to work her or something?
A new voice comes in, one all too familiar, "That would be me. Thanks Jess, but I'll take him from here."
Clay walks to me, grabs my wrist, and swiftly yanks me behind him, heading down the corridor I'd seen from earlier. I don't resist, and instead simply ask, "What are you doing?"
"Saving you from a bitch."
I scoff in agreement. He couldn't be more right about that. We take a right at the end of the hall into another before we enter a room three doors down on the left. The music and voices from lessons are relatively louder, but quiet enough for it be apparent to me that the walls were close to soundproof.
In the room we enter, there is a single piano, a pretty nice one, with a fairly long bench, straight across from the door. On the right side, there is a bit more of an open area with a few posters on the wall and a bean bag. Seems every tutor has their own personal room. There's also a small desk in the corner, one with a few papers and other random items on it.
Clay motions for me to sit on the bench as he closes the door behind us. He take sa seat on the bean bag, so we are a few feet apart.
"So... You actually wanted lessons?" Clay snaps me from my thoughts.
