Technoblade 3rd Person POV

Techno wandered around yet another mall in the middle of the day, noon. The second one he'd been that day. He'd gone to the first one, the one he'd gone to when he first arrived, and stayed for a solid two hours. Now he'd been at this much bigger one for at least one and a half by now.

It was December 9th, he needed to find the perfect gift and soon.

He couldn't stop searching, he needed the perfect, sentimental gift to show how much he valued and appreciated the "friendship" between him and Clay.

Even though he wished slightly that it could be more, he would never jeopardize the relationship they already had for his own minor crush.

Plus, he didn't even know why he liked him, and he didn't want to, but for some reason, he couldn't control his heart.

He strolled around, simply lost in thought. He had a lot of grinding to do on the Dream SMP, but he still wanted to find a present. He had no idea what to get.

Chains didn't seem heartfelt enough.
A sweatshirt or something was just being lazy.
Gift cards, no matter how great they were, definitely didn't hold enough value to signify his appreciation.
A piece of house decor or knickknack didn't really seem fitting.
It's not like he could gift someone a piano.
There weren't really any piano accessories or things you could put on a piano. Plus, he didn't just want to seem like he was saying thanks for lessons, but also for being his friend.
Jewelry did not seem like something a friend would get another friend, right?

Regardless, Techno found himself headed into a jewelry shop. He looked through most of it. He skipped earrings. As far as he knew, Clay didn't have any piercings. He jumped over bracelets too, but stopped at the necklace section.

There were a few with thicker chains that could be used as accessories other than a necklace. Shuffling through a few of them, he realized none of them really seemed to be matching what he really wanted to get. He continued looking.

He stopped at the rings, staring longingly at most of them. But he wasn't there for himself. He looked through them fairly fast, as to resist buying all of them.

One in particular caught his eye. One that was a set of two rings actually. The first has with a tear-shaped emerald surrounded with small, translucent crystals all around it. The emerald had a somewhat blue tint to it, almost a teal or turquoise-like color. The band itself was plain enough, a lot of it also covered with the small crystals. The second band was a beaded pattern, the translucent crystals all the way around it. The supporter ring to the main one.

The price read about $750, which was definitely not bad for a genuine emerald. But perhaps a bit too much. And just as friends, he shouldn't get Clay a ring anyways. He sighed, pushing away from the gorgeous selection of rings they had.

He still needed just that perfect gift. He would just have to keep looking.

Dream 3rd Person POV

Dream was nothing like his avatar and character on the Dream Team SMP, that much was for sure. He wasn't some manipulative dictator who was like a tyrant over everyone, including his enemies. Quite rather the opposite actually.

He loved to spoil his friends and family, getting them the best he could. And Techno was now one of those. Even if Techno didn't know Dream knew, Dream wanted to get him something relevant to his character on Youtube.

So what Dream did was go to Google of course, the best search engine. Sort of. He searched for a good hour, looking for the one thing he had in mind particularly, set on it. He was willing to spend a lot on it too, as he knew it would be expensive anyways.
