It seemed as if the days were getting longer and longer for Talia, streaming almost 12 hours a day, making sure her youtube channel was staying alive, interacting with fans, trying to keep her relationship stable, making sure she wouldn't loose her friends because of her lack of free time. All this as well as moving house every couple of months, she felt like the world was collapsing around her.
She entered her flat after visiting her boyfriend, Simon, and decided she would relax on the sofa before jumping back on stream. She placed the keys on the table next to the door and kicked off her shoes before dragging herself to the living room. She collapsed onto the large, pink sofa and closed her eyes as she tried to escape the reality that was her life.
"When is it gonna get easier?" She said out loud to herself.
She sat up slowly and stared out the large windows that filled the room with light, her eyelids became heavy and she became close to collapsing back into the sofa. She rubbed her eyes gently before her attention was brought to the bottle of Jack Daniels that was placed on top of her kitchen counter. She had been gifted it as a result of her latest single 'Jack' but she never really drunk alcohol, until now. She forced herself of the sofa and made her way over to the bottle of Jack, she stared at it long and hard. She wasn't an alcoholic, she never really did like alcohol in the first place. She felt like this was something she needed to do for herself, she grabbed a cup from the side and poured a small amount of the liquid into it. She went to take a sip but hesitated, she knew it would drown away her problems but she didn't know the outcome it could have on her life.
Just before she could put her lips near the glass there was a loud bang at the front door which caused her to almost drop the cup, she gently placed it back down on the counter and slowly made her way to the front door. She didn't know who it was but she knew she needed someone's company, she couldn't be alone. Not now. She opened the door slowly to reveal Freya standing there with a box of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers.
"It's a bit over the top I know but I can tell you're struggling and I wanted to help." Freya said with a soft smile.
Talia looked at her in awe before wrapping her arms around her tightly and refusing to let go.
"I needed this more than you could imagine." Talia told her as tears filled her eyes.
"Why don't we go inside, we can have a proper chat then. How does that sound?" Freya suggested.
Talia nodded in response and slowly separated from their hug, she allowed her in before closing the door behind her. They made their way into the living area where Freya placed the chocolates and flowers onto the counter before being brought to the attention of the small glass of Jack Daniels that was freshly poured.
