Johnny sat patiently on the sofa in the studio as he waited for Ariana to finish up recording for the day, she had been working endlessly on her new album (Positions) and Johnny had been there every step of the way to experience the magic happen. He thought, as she was nearing the end of the final product, he would surprise her with a small trip. A few minutes past and she came running out of the booth with a smile on her face then dragged Johnny up before giving him a tight hug.
"I'm so happy with how this album is going so far, I think it's my favourite album." She said as she held on tight to him.
"From everything I've heard it is your most incredible album and you haven't even finished it yet, you just get more and more talented with each album." He said before placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Well I couldn't of done it without you, you're my inspiration for a majority of the songs."
She looked up at him with a wide smile as he gazed down at her and thought to himself about how lucky he was to have her.
"I thought, seeing as you're close to finishing the album, we could go on a little trip somewhere?" He suggested.
"Like where?"
"I have an idea, just grab your stuff and meet me in the car in 10 minutes."
He placed a kiss on her cheek before grabbing his coat and heading out of the back of the building then jumping into the car. He waited for a few minutes before he saw Ariana heading out of the back door and towards the car, she jumped in and connected her phone to the aux.
"I managed to get a few copies of the finished songs onto my phone, I wanna see your reaction to them." She told him as she scrolled through her phone.
She began playing the songs as they drove off and each song blew Johnny away, he had the biggest smile on his face and had tears forming in his eyes....he was so proud of her. She finished playing the last song, POV, and looked at Johnny who was trying to keep himself together.
"So, what did you think?" She asked him.
"Ari, those were genuinely incredible. I really do mean it when I say this is your best album, you've really opened up recently with your music and I couldn't be more proud of you. You deserve all the happiness you can get and I'm glad I can be there to experience all these life changing moments with you."
