Attached Media: Amelia crying into Adrians chest

The principal had dismissed the school for the rest of the day and informed us that psychologists were available if we needed them but I knew no amount of help was ever going to get me to forget this.

After I was done crying into poor Adrian's shirt, I pulled back to see that everyone in the class was gone when a sudden realisation hit me. It's been an hour since I discovered the body, so Adrian's been standing here for an entire hour just letting me cry it all out and not once did he tell me he had to go.

He cares.

I looked up at him, only to see a concerned look resting on his face and so I smiled thankfully at him, letting him know I was better. I heard a shrill ringing sound and Adrian handed something to me.

Once I realised it was my phone ringing I quickly answered the call.

"Hello?" I asked, my voice hoarse from the constant crying.

"Oh my god, Amelia? Are you okay?" a familiar voice questioned. Leah. "I heard what happened at school and when I heard that you discovered the body..." she trailed off, waiting for my confirmation.

"Yea, I found the body" my voice cracking as tears welled up in my eyes.

"Oh my god...That's awesome! Was it all mangled up and stuff? Like, were her guts hangi-"

My eyes began to water and I heard a deep growl as I felt my phone being ripped from my hand as Adrian took my phone and spoke to Leah.

"She's busy right now, she'll call you back later" Adrian said in a monotone voice, as he hung up the phone and put it in his back pocket.

"Seriously Adrian?"

"Seriously what?"

"Was that necessary? I could have just told her that I didn't want to talk about it! She would have understood!"

"Yes it was necessary, and no, she wouldn't have left you alone. She would have wanted to know your exact reaction Amelia, and make you describe it since she wasn't here to see it for herself."

What was he talking about? Leah's my best friend, of course she would have understood that I didn't want to talk about it! I don't know what Leah he's talking about, but my Leah would wait until I was ready. I reassured myself that I was right, and I immediately went to her defence.

"What?! You don't know her like I do! How dare you say that about Leah? I don't know who you've been talking to but the Leah I know and love would respect my need for time before I told her that I found my teacher ripped apart by...by some animal! You don't even know her!" I screamed, my anger and grief getting the better of me. Of course, I felt really bad afterwards knowing that Adrian was only looking out for me.

"Oh really? I don't know Leah as well as you?" he asked, a dangerous and knowing glint in his eyes.
