I shot awake, quickly looking down to see Y/n soundly asleep by my side. I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I laid back down and kissed her forehead.
"Please, don't leave me. Please," I whispered softly.
____I pulled the envelope off my desk, noticing the handwriting on the outside immediately. I knocked on Hotch's door rapidly.
"What?" He asked, clearly thinking my knocking was exaggerated.
"Cat," I stated simply. He nodded and pointed to the conference room. He pulled the rest of the team into the room before I pulled the letter out with gloves and read it.
Spencie, you did it. Figured you would with that big brain of yours. Now that you know who I am, you'll be able to find me, right? Wrong. I've been in prison for four years so, no address, cards, cars, etc. I'm looking forward to our biggest game of all. Protect the ones you love and care about, we wouldn't want to lose any lives. Let me rephrase— you wouldn't want to lose any lives. I on the other hand don't care. Anyway, keep an eye on your little girlfriend before she slips through your fingertips. I will be calling you all from a payphone at precisely noon. I expect you to answer, I don't appreciate being ignored. I'll get angry, we all know what happens when I get angry. Good luck, Spencie.
With Love,
Cat Adams
I set the paper back down onto the table, leaning back in my seat. This was dropped off on my desk. She was here and we missed her. How? I'm not sure, all I know is the security guards here are now incompetent in my mind.
"What do we do? I mean, she's right we can't find her." Derek commented.
My index finger and thumb rubbed my temple intensely. I couldn't even think right now. Everyone was talking and scrambling around, trying their best to get us somewhere. I knew they wouldn't find anything and it stressed me out. I know her best and everything the team is doing right now, won't help. I couldn't even think of anything. Well, there was one option but I didn't want to do that. My brain exhausted itself as I ran through every possible way to get to Cat but I always ended up with the option I did not dare to take. Every sense of mine was being clogged and distracted as everyone clambered around the roundtable.
"Stop," I muttered softly. The noise continued.
"Stop, please!" I insisted much louder this time. Everyone turned their heads to me, shocked at my sudden want to be assertive.
"There is only one thing we can do. We have to answer her call and bait her. There is only one way to do that." I cleared my throat looking at Y/n to my right.
