A smile stays on my face as I ramble on and on about my adventure with the woman is etched into my mind.
____It's a few days later, and we caught the unsub— well not really. He died in the tornado when we caught him. Turns out the unsub was trying to make a new body for his brother that died in a storm hoping to bring him back to life somehow.
I stared out the window of the jet, rain pattered softly against the window.
Everyone on the jet was asleep except for Y/n and me. She was sitting across from me, her earphones were playing music from her phone. Her eyes were closed but I could tell she was awake. Her fingers tapped against the table in front of us slightly.
She opened her eyes and looked at me, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.
"What're you thinking about?" She whispered.
"Nothing," I muttered, moving my gaze from the window to her.
"I know that look, that's not nothing," She raises her brows at me.
"You know this look?"
"I've felt that way my fair share of time."
"Really?" I ask, leaning forward in my seat.
"Yeah, numb? Everyone is one way or another."
"Hm," I hum and nod at her, "What're you listening to?"
"It's called, Things That I Miss, wanna listen?" She asks kindly.
"Sure," I grinned, she got out of her seat, coming to sit next to me.
She took one earphone out, giving it to me.
But I have a lover and I have a best friend
I'm doing well and I hope you listen to this
You'll always be my first kiss
But I have a life now and I've learned my lesson
I'm growing up and doing big things for me
You'll always be on my list
Of all of the good things that I miss, miss, miss
You're all of the good things that I miss, miss, missI miss your hair, your nose
I miss the smell of your clothes
Remember when you took me to Niagara falls
And we took photos all night long?
I can't believe I'm the one you chose
I really miss being at your shows
You know we never got to preform our song
