Santana had a little bit of trouble finding Wesley's office. She'd been inside Wolfram and Hart a more than just a few times, but had really never been able to navigate. This place was a maze, and seemed to change everyday. She asked a few people, and eventually found her way there.

When she got there, he was yelling at a team of security guards. "I want at least four of you on Knox at all times! You hear me? And do not take your eyes off of Ms. Burkle for even a second!"

Santana slid in as the guards headed out. "Things are heating up, I see. Does Fred know about all of this?"

"I told her I was going to protect her," Wesley replied, now turning to his books. "What did you say the sarcophagus was a part of? Who sent it?"

Santana shrugged, running her fingers along the spines of the books on his shelves. "I don't remember, it's been a while. You'll have to ask Eve, I think she's the one who knows."

"You don't remember anything? Doesn't Fred's death cause the apocalypse?"

"Didn't Lindsey already tell you that we're already in the apocalypse?" Santana asked, now pulling out a book and flipping through it. She didn't notice that Wesley had stopped working and was squinting at her.

"No, he hasn't," Wes said slowly, and Santana flashed him a guilty look.

"Sorry. I think he might tell you that after Fred dies."

Wesley shuddered, getting back to work. "Then in this timeline, he never will."

Santana smiled. "You two are cute together. However, I do prefer Fred and Charles together. But I might be biased."

Wesley didn't bother looking up, now flipping through a new book. "And why is that?"

"Because you dated my sister."

Wesley stopped flipping. Santana couldn't tell whether he had found something useful, or her comment had stopped him in his tracks. "You're Lilah's sister."

"Ding ding ding," Santana replied, hopping onto his desk. He sighed heavily, sitting down.

"Couldn't see the resemblance?" She asked tilting her face for him. "Everyone always told us how much we looked alike. We both hated it. She never mentioned me?"

"I'm afraid not," he replied. "But then again, Lilah and I never spoke much about our own personal lives." He paused, lost in memory. "Why are you helping us? Do you also work for Wolfram and Hart?"

Santana crossed her legs, letting her skirt ride up a bit. "In a way. You don't think I invented time travel all by myself, did you? It took the help of very powerful forces." She winked.

Wesley was not in the mood to play. "I don't have time for this. Fred's in danger-" he stopped suddenly. "Or is that just part of the game? Are you lying to us?"

Santana leaned forward, beckoning him closer. "Even if I was lying," she whispered. "Would you want to risk it?"

Wesley stood thoughtfully. "They were right. You and Lilah are very much alike. Too much. I don't like it."

"Oh please," Santana laughed, hopping back off his desk and fixing her skirt. "You have a signed bill in your wallet that says otherwise."

And with that, Santana left Wesley to his research.

Her next stop was Gunn's office. He was also hard at work.

"How are you holding up?" Santana asked quietly, closing the door behind her. Charles looked up.

"What are you doing here? I thought Angel would have thrown you out by now," he replied.

"He won't," Santana replied, taking a seat across from him. "He doesn't want to mess with the Senior Partners. I mean, he does, but nows not the time."

Gunn leaned back in his chair. "Explain to me how that works again? I think I missed that part of the meeting."

"Oh, well, Eve is being replaced. By a man named Alexander Hamilton- no, sorry, Marcus Hamilton. He's your new liaison to the partners. And I've come with him."

"Eves getting replaced, huh? I always knew that girl was evil. It was basically in her name."

Santana laughed. "That's a good one. So, I just came to check and see how you were handling the news of the whole, you know, trading Fred's life for your brain."

Gunn hung his head. "I knew there were going to be consequences, but I guess I was selfish. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure Fred doesn't have to pay the price for my lapse in judgement. I was stupid."

Santana stood back up. "Atta boy. Well, I think I should check on Fred and Knox. I don't want to leave the two of them alone, but I know Wesley put a handful of guards on both of them. She seemed pretty shaken up. I should apologize."

Santana pulled open the door, before casting a backwards glance at Charles. "You know, this meeting was pretty short. If you wanted to talk more, we could do it over coffee sometime?"

Charles looked up and smiled curiously. "We'll see how long you last around here. If Angel doesn't toss your ass out on the street by the end of the day, we might have a few more things to discuss."

Santana smiled warmly. "Oh please. He's not getting rid of me that easily. If I'm still here tomorrow, you're paying."

Charles laughed, shaking his head. "We will see, Ms. Liaison, we will see."
