Tony's POV
Much to my dismay, I was persuaded to spend quality time with the team so I was sitting in the common room reading a newspaper on the couch while everyone was talking.
"Does anyone miss when it was just us?" I asked, looking up from the newspaper.
"What do you mean?" Bruce asked.
"I mean look at this." I held up the paper. "The Devil's Advocate, seriously?"
"I met her." Peter spoke up.
"Really?" We all asked.
"Yeah, I kicked a dude who was about to shoot her. She ran off before I could talk to her. I met Mr. Daredevil too, he seemed nice."
"I don't trust her," I said. "She's a murderer."
"Plenty of trustworthy people are murderers." Loki countered.
"If you're talking about yourself, I'm going hit you over the head with this newspaper."
"I miss when it was just the six of us." Nat said.
"I miss being dead."
"Pietro!" Wanda yelled while hitting him. "What did I say about the death jokes!"
"Ow! Fine, Jesus, I'll stop."
"Tony, why do you care about what a vigilante in Hell's Kitchen is doing?"
"I don't know, I'm just reading the news. Sometimes I choose not to be ignorant."
(Y/N)'s POV
"I'm bored." I whined while smushing a pillow into my face.
"Then go do something." Matt responded.
"I can't do anything, I'm in hiding."
"We're you in hiding when a picture of you ended up in the newspaper?" He asked, grabbing his cane and glasses.
"Yes." I removed the pillow and sat up on the couch. "Where are you going?"
"Out drinking with friends."
"You're abandoning me?" I asked dramatically.
"I'm not abandoning you, I'm having a social life." Matt sighed as he walked to the door.
"You're abandoning me, I'm officially alone."
"Stop being dramatic."
"Never."
•••
It was dark outside. I contemplated just staying home and being responsible but responsibility quite literally not in my DNA.
I pulled the mask over my head and strapped some knives onto my thighs. Just in case.
As much as I hate this suit, it does a pretty good job of hiding my identity.
Walking, well more like sneaking, around the streets of Hell's Kitchen looking for some action is always sure to be entertaining.
There's usually a mugging or assault happening but it's weirdly quiet tonight.
I hoisted myself on the roof of an apartment complex(not my own) and looked over the quiet city. There's a couple walking hand in hand, a raccoon digging through a dumpster, and a few drunks just starting their night.
I sigh as the crisp air nips at my finger tips. I sense a presence behind me and in one swift movement, I pull a knife off my thigh and point it at whoever was behind me.
