"So, how's it lookin' for me?" (Y/N) asked the lawyers sitting across from her.
"It's looking... interesting?" Foggy tried his best not to make the situation sound as bad as it really is.
"Interesting." Matt echoed.
"Interesting is definitely a word." (Y/N) said, nodding her head.
Out of habit, (Y/N) looked up at one the cameras. They weren't on anymore but she would be surprised if there was still something recording their conversation.
"The evidence they have is pretty substantial." Foggy sighed.
"Well, I am guilty." (Y/N) pointed out.
"Are you planning on telling them that?" Matt asked.
(Y/N) thought for a moment. Pleading innocent would mean a trial which means more publicity.
"Yeah, but not yet. I wanna piss off Ross for as long as I can." She said with a smirk.
Matt sighed, already used to her behavior. There was a time that she insisted she wasn't done with a bag of chips she left on the counter and just to mess with him, (Y/N) made the bag last two months. It was infuriating for Matt but it was hilarious for
(Y/N).•••
"Who are they?" Thor asked, he was one of the few people left in the meeting room.
"They're her lawyers," Natasha responded. "Nelson and Murdock. I don't know what their connection is but they operate out of Hell's Kitchen so they probably met her there."
"But why are they defending her? I mean she looked pretty happy to see them." Steve pointed out. "Happier than you'd look just to see your lawyers."
The group looked up at the screen displaying two pictures of Matthew Murdock and Franklin Nelson, along with all information on past cases and their personal lives.
The door opened and Tony sat at the head of the table, looking even more exhausted than usual.
"Are you alright?" Vision asked.
"Well," Tony began. "I just got off the phone with Peter so not really. He's on his way over and he did not sound very pleased to be hearing about (Y/N)."
No one was surprised by the news. Peter had moved on more than anyone but it was because he didn't want false hope. He didn't want to lose more than he had already.
Tony looked up at the screen and narrowed his eyes, which didn't go unnoticed.
"Stark?" Thor asked.
"Why is he up there?" He pointed to Matt's photo.
"He is one of the law people that is helping your daughter." The god replied.
Tony's jaw went slack.
"You've got to be kidding me." He mumbled to himself.
"What is it?" Natasha asked.
"That's Daredevil." Tony replied.
It didn't quite make sense to him I mean he was blind? Maybe he was faking it. Or maybe he had some kind of superpower that outweighed to blindness.
"What makes you think that?" Steve questioned.
"Because I figured this out already but didn't believe it because you know, he's blind." Tony gestured to the glasses in Matt's photo.
Before anyone else could question Tony, Ross walked through the door. His presence immediately brought the mood down a couple notches, which was honestly impressive.
