My Little Angel

Chapter 4

"Ok, here's the deal..." Ginny said. Evil Queen's smirk grew until it was an evil smirk as she waited for what Ginny had to say. "If I bring you their child. I want you to give me power over the isle."

"Done!" Evil Queen said as she was willing to go to any lengths to get what she wanted. And she wanted Henry and Evie's baby, and she was determined to get it. No matter what. All Ginny wanted was power. She could give that to her no problem.

"Ok then, it's a deal." Ginny said as she shook hands with the Evil Queen.

Ginny then went on her way while the Evil Queen continued to smirk as she watched the young woman leave the alley. Her plan had just begun, yet, it seemed like it was going to work out perfectly. Evie and her husband would have no idea what hit them when she got their baby.

Evie was in her work room working on some cute little gender neutral baby outfits while Henry was at work. She smiled as she held up the little onesie. She couldn't wait to see her baby wearing all the cute little outfits she was making.

"Knock knock!" She heard Mal's voice come in the room and say.

Evie stood up to go over and hug her. "Hey M! What brings you here?" She asked her.

"Oh you know, I just thought I'd come by and see how my best friend is doing. Making some more outfits I see. Oh these are so cute!" Mal said as she went over to Evie's table and looked at the little onesies Evie had made so far.

"Thanks. It's so hard for me to wait to find out what I'm having, and I couldn't wait to start making he or she little clothes, so I'm making a few gender neutral ones." Evie replied. Mal laughed, she knew how impatient Evie was and could be. And when it came to this, she was really impatient. But of course, she knew how Evie felt, she was pretty much the same way when she had Marley. "So how's little Marley doing?" Evie asked as she went back over to her work desk continuing to finish the little clothes.

"Oh, pretty much the same. She's still going though her terrible two's phase. Almost always whining about something that she doesn't like." Mal said with a slight laugh as she leaned against the wall.

Evie giggled. "Yeah, I know that's in my future." She said glancing down at her bump.

"Yep! So definitely enjoy it when he or she doesn't know how to talk, walk, or do anything pretty much." Mal joked.

Evie shook her head in amusement. "So I take it Carlos is with her right now?"

"Oh yeah! I love Marley, you know I do, it's just, I still need a break from time to time. I'm with her 24/7."

"Yeah, it's crazy that this is our life now." Evie said. "We're married to two amazing guys! You're a mom, I'm about to be a mom. Who knew that we would be here?"

"Tell me about it. I never would've thought this is where I would be eight years ago."

Evie nodded. That's when she heard Henry call her name from the living room, which meant that he was home. "In here!" Evie called out to him.

"Hey babe! Oh hey Mal!" Henry greeted the 2 women as he entered the room and went over to kiss his wife. "How's your day been?"

"Just the usual. I've pretty much been in here all day." Evie told him.

"Cool. Well, I'm gonna go try and finish figuring out how to set up the crib in the nursery." He said kissing Evie one more time before walking out of the room.

"He still can't figure out how to set up that crib?" Mal asked.

"Nope. And it's been over a week." Evie replied as she and Mal shared a laugh.

"Maybe you should go in there and help him try to figure it out."

"I would. And I have! But he's determined to figure it out himself, and plus he doesn't want me to do any work of any kind that could possibly hurt the baby." Evie told her.

"Oh so he's one of those husbands, good luck, hun." Mal said patting Evie's shoulder.

Mal spent a couple more hours with Evie, before leaving when Evie began to make hers and Henry's dinner. And when that was done, Evie went into the nursery to get Henry. And she found him, but he wasn't working on the crib, he was working on something else which, very much, surprised Evie.

"What is this?" She asked him as she entered the room. Henry smiled as he looked over at his pregnant wife. "I thought you were working on the crib."

"I just told you that, so you wouldn't come in here." He informed her. "I got this a couple days ago, and I just now built it." Henry had put together a rocking chair in the nursery to surprise her, and Evie absolutely loved it. "Well? What are you waiting for? Try it out." He told her.

Evie went over to the chair and sat down as she slowly rocked back and forth. She thought of holding her baby as she put him or her to sleep. "This is perfect." Evie told him.

"I'm glad you like it." Henry said leaning in to kiss her.

"Now you can actually start working on the crib." Evie said patting him on his cheek.

Henry looked at her in pretend shock. "Excuse me?"

Evie laughed. "I'm just kidding. But dinners ready, so we can go eat now." She told him.

"Great! Because I'm starving."

And so they went to their kitchen and began eating, as they talked about more plans for the nursery.
