My Little Angel

Chapter 6

It had been a couple months since the four vk's had arrived in Auradon, and Dizzy moved in with Evie and Henry. And for the past couple of weeks, Ginny had made multiple excuses to hang out with Evie, even though she still had no idea why on earth Ginny was so interested in hanging out with her in the first place. Of course, Evie hadn't been telling her no, but still, why was Ginny acting like that?

But for that morning, Evie had pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind, because that day was the day that Evie would finally be finding out the gender of her baby. And she was beyond excited, Henry had also taken that day off of work so he could be with Evie at her appointment.

"Dizzy, do you want to come with me and Henry to my appointment?" Evie asked the girl who was eating a bowl of cereal.

Dizzy paused just staring at her as she dropped her spoon into her bowl. "I thought you would never ask!" She yelled in absolute joy as she leapt up from the table to hug Evie.

Evie laughed as she hugged Dizzy back. "Well, you better hurry up then, because we're leaving soon." She told her.

Dizzy immediately finished her cereal as fast as she could, before running into her room to get her shoes on, then the three of them went out to the car and drove to the doctors office. "I am literally so excited!" Dizzy said.

"Oh yes! I am too!" Evie agreed.

Henry chuckled lightly at the two girls who were just so excited. But he was also really excited. And as soon as they found a parking spot they all walked into the office, checked Evie in, and sat down waiting for their turn.

"So how are you planning on telling everyone?" Dizzy asked Evie.

"Well, we planned on having a little gender reveal party with all of our friends. Obviously we're gonna know, but everybody else won't." Evie answered.

"That sounds really fun!"

"Oh it will be."

A few minutes later Evie was called back. So the three of them stood up and followed the nurse back into a room. Evie laid down on the table, and answered a few questions that the nurse asked her. "Ok, let's begin the ultrasound now." The nurse said.

Evie couldn't keep the smile off her face, especially when she saw her baby on the screen. She was so happy to see that her baby was growing, and was healthy. The nurse checked to see how the baby was doing first, listening to the heartbeat. And then, finally, she started looking to see if it was either a boy or a girl. Evie bit her lip in anticipation. What was it going to be? Oh the suspense was killing her.

"Congratulations! You're having a..."

A few days later, Evie and Henry were having the gender reveal party in their backyard with all of their friends. Evie had been so happy when she had finally found out what she was going to have, and she couldn't wait to reveal to everybody else the gender of her baby.

"Come on, Evie. When are you going to reveal the gender already?" Mal asked her playfully as she was dying to find out if she was going to have another nephew, or a little niece.

Evie laughed at her best friend's impatience. "Right now." She told her.

"Yay!" Mal squealed.

Evie went over to Henry to tell him they were ready to reveal the gender. "Ok everybody! Can I have your attention!" Evie said getting all of their attentions. "We are now about to reveal the gender of baby Weber!" Henry and Evie went over to a big balloon that they would be popping to see what color confetti was inside. "Ok give us a five second countdown!" Evie told everyone as she and Henry held a pin together that they would use to pop the balloon.

"5..4..3..2..1!" Everybody counted down.

Then Henry and Evie popped the balloon and out came pink confetti. Everyone immediately started screaming. Especially Mal who ran over to Evie and hugged the life out of her practically, but was still careful so she didn't hurt the baby.

"Oh I am so happy for you guys! And I finally get a niece!" Mal yelled.

"Thanks M! I'm just so happy I'm getting a daughter." She said. "And now we finally know what we get to paint the nursery, and I can start making her so many cute little outfits."

Mal couldn't help but laugh, for she knew how much Evie wanted a girl. And now, she was going to having one. However, that was when Ginny approached Evie.

"Evie, hey! Congratulations! I bet you're really happy right?" She asked her.

"Yeah! I am!" Evie told her.

"Evie, I just wanted to let you know, that if you ever need anything, anything at all, just let me know how I could possibly help you." Ginny said.

"Thanks Ginny! That means a lot."

"Here's a little something for the baby." Ginny said handing Evie a present.

Evie opened it to find little pink socks. "Aw! These are so cute! Thank you so much! But, how did you know it was a girl?" She asked.

"I just had a feeling. I mean, if you actually did have a boy though I wouldn't have given them to you of course. But I'm glad you like them. Well, just remember what I said. I'll see ya around, Evie." Ginny replied before walking off.

"Well, that was really sweet of her." Mal said to Evie.

"Yeah, it was. She has good instincts." Evie said as she and Mal shared a little laugh as they enjoyed the rest of the party.
