Chapter 4 Special

After a couple of more lessons -which were all boring btw- it was time for detention. I was so looking forward to it, detention on the first day- note the sarcasm.

While stepping into the classroom I looked around and saw new faces. Not really surprised since I am the one who was held back. But then I saw Riley, one of my friends. Drew and her are my best friends, I have more who sit at my table but I consider them as fake friends. Sure they are nice but I cant really relate to them.

Riley smiled when she saw me. 'I could say I am surprised to see you here but that would be a lie'. 'Well hello to you too Riley' I laughed. Although she is right. Riley is in most of the same classes of Drew.

When you have detention you have to do some of your homework or to study. Both of them seemed pretty boring to me. And the same old lady is here to keep an eye on us and lets just say, she cant hear everything.

'How are you Ash, Drew told me about you and Karen what a b***'. I simply nodded and said 'she keeps following me around though but Im done'. Riley came with the idea of having a 'fake' girlfriend. Which I didnt think that was a good solution. Karen can be a b*** and scare the poor girl. 'Riley I know it worked for you to get Steven (her boyfriend) but I really dont think it will work for me. 'I think I know why you think that' she smirked. What?

This is so confusing, Riley is a special girl, I already know but what does she mean this time?  So I asked 'What do you mean?' 'I saw you and that new girl Demi and a little bird told me after detention you and her are going out, like a date' she winked.

I almost choked, 'What?, no thats not true. She is an old friend of mine although thats what she says. Im pretty sure I could remember a girl like that'.

F*ck did I just say that out loud? Riley was laughing so I think I did. 'Riley stop laughing it isnt funny, I dont even know what we are going to do tonight except for eating some dinner although she said something with showing me that she wasnt lying'.

'Sounds like fun, Riley chuckled. 'I am serious Ashley, that Demi girl is in my english class and she seems really nice. Im just really glad that you dont want Karen back, you know what I think of her'.

Of course I knew that, when me and Karen started dating Riley didnt speak to me for a whole month. I guess she and Karen havent such a great connection.

'How are you and Steven?' I asked. Riley smiled at the thought of him, a twinkle became visible in her brown eyes. Which fit perfectly with her dark brown curly hair, too bad she has a boyfriend. Haha no just kidding. I already told you Karen was my first. But flirting never hurt anybody.

I walked out of the empty room to find Demi. I didnt have her number, yet. Honestly I didnt know what to think of tonight. I looked in the cafeteria, she wasnt there. Same goes to the other places where I looked for her. I decided to go to the parking lot, she will come eventually. I walked to my car and sat down. I turned the volume up when 'Black Widow' appeared. The song finished so I turned the volume down. Suddenly the door opened and I saw Demi. She did a little wave and asked 'Mind if I sit here?' I made the gesture to sit down.

'Didnt you go to school with your car?'

'No, my mum brought me' her cheecks turning a little pink. I swear that was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

'Aww mommies girl' I teased. 'Haha stop it, how was detention?' Seriously she had to ask that but okay she just asked  to make conversation. 'It wasnt that bad, when you have to go there almost every day, you will get used to it'.

'Bad girl' she smirked. I shrugged and laughed.

'Where did you talk about with the principal if I may ask'.
