Chapter 36 Invitation

Demi's p.o.v.

I got two vanilla lattes, for Ashley I added whipped cream, I know she loves that. I putted the two vanilla lattes and the three american cookies on the table and sat down.

'Thank you baby, just how I like it', Ashley said and kissed me on my cheek.

'I bet thats what she said last night too', Riley laughed at her own joke which made me blush. Ashley hitted her on the shoulder but laughed along.

'What were you talking about?', I asked them while I took a bite of my cookie.

'Ashley didnt want to tell me anything untill you were back, so tell me, how was it? I am dying to know', Riley said.

'We can see that', Ashley chuckled.

'What do you want me to say?', I asked clueless. I felt really awkward. How can Riley see that about Ashley's hair?

'How was it? Did she hurt you?', Riley asked.

'One question at the time', Ashley said sternly.

'It wasnt what I expected, it was better. Way better. Ashley was really sweet and told me what to do.'

'She is a fast learner', Ashley said and gave me a wink.

'Im so happy for you two. And Im proud Ashley, you set yourself over that incident with Karen', Riley commented proudly.

I forgot about that incident. Most of the time Ashley was asking me if she hurted me or something. I never realised she would be hurt too. I wanted to be a better girlfriend but I already started of the wrong foot.

'How is Kendall?', Riley asked Ashley, changing the subject.

Ashley's face went from happy to a little bit sad. I grabbed her hand and planted a kiss on it.

'She is okay. We are friends now, she wanted me to stay away from her a while so I did. But that didnt last long, she admitted she had feelings for me but she was working on it to get those away. I hate to be the heartbreaker, she is an amazing girl. But she isnt Demi', Ashley explained and kissed me.

'And?', Riley asked while raising her eyebrow.

'And what?', Ashley shrugged.

'You arent telling us something', she stated.

How could Riley see that? Fine, she knows Ashley longer than me but still.

'Fine then. When my manager heard Kendall had feelings for me, she insisted it would be a great plan to be Hollywood Newest Couple. Two girls are different and more interesting than a regular couple. I obviously said no but it turned out more people were behind it and told me I should do it. So I left and told them to think about it and use their common sense. Thats why I am here, Im still waiting for a call from my manager.'

'How can they expect that from you?', I asked Ashley. Didnt they care about true love?

'Its all about making more money. Im not going to play that game and Im certainly not going to play with Kendall's feelings. That wouldnt be fair. But enough about them, I want to focus on you guys. Thats why I am here', she managed to smile.

'I think its good you didnt play with Kendall's feelings. But Ashley if you really like her then go for it. Dont let me get in the way, I want you to be happy', I honestly said to her.

'Demi, I love you so much, why else would I make love to you? I want nothing more than to be with you. In fact, wait.'

Ashley walked to an empty table and stand on it.

'Thats Ashley Green', a boy screamed.

Many people were looking at her right now.

'Yes I am. Can I have your attention please?', Ashley asked. 'Sorry to disturb you but I want to ask that girl', she pointed at me and smiled. 'Her name is Demi and I love her so much, I cant even imagine. Through all what we have been through, I believe that only makes us stronger. Demi, do you want to be my girlfriend?'

Now were all eyes on me. I didnt like attention and so did Ashley. But Ashley can be a little crazy sometimes, good example is right now.

'If she would ask me, I would have said yes', the same guy said and winked at Ashley.

I walked towards the table and carefully tried to stand on it. Next to Ashley.

'And?', she asked playfully.

'I cant think of a reason why I would say no', I said and kissed her.

I heard people clap and when I opened my eyes, many people stood around us. Most of them were smiling. But I think I was the one who had the biggest smile.

Riley said she was going to meet an old friend so me and Ashley went back to my house. We walked hand-in-hand. I wanted to show she was mine cause I finally can now. That girl who was perfect in my eyes was mine.

Suddenly Ashley stopped walking and got closer to me.

'Demi, did you meant what you said to Riley? Because I thought maybe you didnt like it at all and ....'

'Of course I meant it. You were so gentle and compassionate and besides I enjoyed every second of it. I had never had those feelings. The only thing Im wondering about is that Im not good enough or that I suck at it. But I promise I will try'

'Why would you try when you are great at it?'

'You are just saying that'

'No, Im being honest. Karen commanded me all the time and I was the one who had to please her. It was rare when she would return the favor.'

'I can be bitchy too, if you want it rough', she whispered in my ear.

'You should stop or I will do it in public', I joked. We continued walking home after.

'Ashley!', Demi's mother practically yelled and ran towards me. After a hug which lasted pretty long she said: 'I missed you'

'I missed you too Jackie', I said. 'Its good to see you again'

'I think Demi thought the same to see you', Jackie said.

'What?', Demi asked.

'Last night it sounded like she was really happy to see you', her mother said and laughed.

'Oh god', Demi said. 'You heard that?'

'How could she not hear?', I joked. 'I apoligize Jackie'

'Ive been young too, I get it. I didnt expect it but Im glad it was you. Im also happy that you are official back together'

'I didnt expect it either mom. She came to surprise me'

'She sure did and not only in that way', Jackie winked at Demi. Demi's face turned into a tomato, a really cute tomato though.

'How do you know about us being back together?', Demi asked. Her face was still red.

'I saw it on the news. Someone recorded you, it was really sweet. Now I want to have someone like Ashley', Jackie pouted.

'Back off, she is mine', Demi smiled and put her arm around me.

'By the way Ashley, my birthday is tomorrow and I invited the family to come over, do you want to come? You are like family to me'

'I would love to Jackie but I dont have a present yet'

'You dont have to', Jackie smiled. 'You being there makes me happy enough. And it makes me really happy that you make my daughter happy. Thats all I can wish for'

'Aww', Demi replied.

'Sweet', I remarked. 'But Im going now, Im still gonna buy a present for my favorite mother-in-law, see you later', I said and gave a quick peck on her lips. She was wearing lipgloss, the tease. If I knew, we would be making out right now, right here.
