Chapter 25 Moving on

Demi's p.o.v.

Im so glad I met Sarah, Lilly and Britney. We are really close friends now. They make me forget about Ashley most of the time.

Sarah once asked me what I liked about her and I told her if you know Ashley , she is really sweet and she was there for me when no one was.

But Sarah said I liked her because I had no friends. She didnt think I loved her, I just loved the fact that she was with me all the time and now I had them. The real question was if I still loved her. I doubted it.

I came home from training since it was Thursday already and my mom was reading the news paper in the kitchen.

'How is Ashley doing?', she asked me.

I shrugged, I didnt know. She will be fine, I thought. She is strong she can handle this.

'You are a really supportive girlfriend Demi. And yes that was sarcasm. 'That poor girl must be scared there', my mom said.

'She will be fine mom. Riley and Drew visit her all the time'

'And you didnt? You promised me you would visit her yesterday! I guess you didnt then.'

'No I was with Sarah, Lilly and Britney. We had a great time, I forgot about it sorry.'

'Dont say sorry to me. Say it to her! She needs you the most Demi and where are you? Not with her. You're almost 18, I thought you would know better. Im happy you found new friends but dont forget about the one who was there for you when you had nobody. Ashley did everything for you, she truly loves you and this is how you treat her? Do you even love her or care about her?'

'OF COURSE I CARE ABOUT HER!', I screamed.

'You dont show it', my mom said annoyed.

I took a deep breath. 'She left me mom. She lied to me about her past. She isnt good for me.'

'Cant believe you're saying that. You were the one that said she was a good person deep down. You're the one who truly knows her and you know why she acts like this sometimes. It seems like you think she is guilty.'

'A part of me thinks that yes. Her ex-girlfriend can be mean sometimes but no one would do this. I think she was still dealing drugs. I have my reasons for it and I dont want a girlfriend who keeps secrets for me and lies to me.'

'So you're going to break up with her?!', my mom asked. She looked shocked.

'I think so mom. Lilly, Britney and Sarah agree with me.'

'I thought you know better', my mom said. 'So if the judge tomorrow decides she isnt guilty, you dont want her back?'

'I just told you mom. Im not gonna repeat myself', I said and stood up. I was done talking about her.

When I went to my room I havent talked to my mom ever since. She seemed really mad at me.

Britney picked me up and drove me to school.

'Look at that guy, he is totally checking you out!', Lilly said.

'Hmm he is hot', I agreed.

'Go talk to him', Sarah said and before I knew they pushed me towards him.

The guy had amazing fierce blue eyes and dark brown hair.

'Hi Im Demi', I said and shook his hand.

'Damian', He chuckled. 'Nice to meet you Demi'

I walked back to the girls when Damian said he had to go so he gave me his number.
