- Chapter 3
Here is what you missed on Run Away. Elliot doesn't think it is smart for Kurt to go to the party but he goes anyway, completely changed his looks and even tried out makeup. He ends up doubting if he should go anyways but Rachel confronts him about how he and Elliot have had troubles lately and he should get something else in his mind so he goes to the party, gets hit by a homophobe and asks Blaine to pick him up at the station. Kurt gets drunk, breaks up with Elliot and even tries to kiss Blaine. That's what you missed on Run Away.'Kurt you are drunk. This is wrong,' Blaine pushes Kurt away. 'You are neat Blaine Anderson. I like that,' Kurt slurs. 'Thanks?' Blaine laughs. 'You want to go inside?' Kurt shakes his head. 'Nah, I started writing some song lyrics for our duet, started on the train on my way here,' Kurt gets his phone out. 'It is not good enough yet,' Blaine gets handed Kurt's phone, he takes it with no hesitation. 'These are really good Kurt. How did you come up with these,' Kurt turns his head. 'It's based on my own experiences. About some guy I used to know, used to date.' Blaine read through the lyrics. 'He really hurt you didn't he,' Kurt laughs. 'Hurt? Hurt is when you get dumped out of a children relationship. He broke up with me, after telling me how useless I was, how I should just lose my dream because I wouldn't make it anyway. He didn't hurt me, he broke me,' Kurt feels his voice shaking. 'But yeah, i left him behind in Lima. Our total relationship was one in secret because he was too scared to lose his dumb "high school straight jock" reputation,' Kurt says, as if it doesn't bother him a single bit. Blaine looks up. 'Lima? Weren't you one of those Glee Club members there?' a soft sigh leaves Kurt's mouth. 'Everything felt easy when I entered that choir room. That room used to be the only place where i didn't get shoved into lockers, or walls,' Blaine knows what Kurt means. 'I told Sam to back off, you seem like a cool guy, both me and Artie think that. Even Santana. We should be able to become friends without Sam shoving you into some wall,' Kurt lays down, his head on Blaine lap. Blaine realises that most of the things they discuss tonight will be gone from Kurt's mind by morning. 'You seem cool Blaine Anderson,' Blaine smiles at the drunk words of the younger. 'So do you Kurt Hummel.' Kurt smiles. 'I actually saw you at regionals before, could've been sectionals or nationals too, my mind isn't that clear right now. You guys really thought a Capella was cool,' he chuckles. 'In my defence, we were a big deal at Dalton,' Blaine shoots back. The two of them stay seated in the grass, not caring about the party going on inside of the house.
'What time is it,' Kurt and Blaine have been laughing and singing together for hours now. 'It is 4 in the morning,' Most people have already left the party. 'I should go home,' Kurt gets up. The lines of eyeliner under his eyes are almost fully faded. 'Can I get a ride to the train station?' Blaine walks after the boy. 'You are not going to take the train again. One, you are drunk out of your mind and two, what if you get beaten up again,' Kurt waves his hand. 'I will be fine Blaine Anderson. I will be fine,' Kurt struggles to keep himself walking without falling over. 'You can stay here. The guest rooms are probably filled with people who are getting laid, so you can stay in my room. I'll sleep on the couch,' Kurt can't help but smile. 'If you have an air bed, you can have your bed I'll sleep on the air bed,' Blaine catches up with Kurt and helps him, keeping him from falling. 'I think I have one, I'll let you sleep in the bed,' the guys discuss who is going to sleep where on their way back in.
They end up both in Blaines king-sized bed. Since both of them are tired they know it doesn't matter if they are close to one another or not. 'You sure that you don't want me to sleep on the couch?' Blaine asks unsure. Kurt walks out of the bathroom, his waterline eyeliner now fully taken off and wearing a shirt of Blaine's. 'You are really tall you know,' Kurt looks at himself in the mirror. 'I asked you something Kurt, stop admiring yourself,' Blaine laughs. 'It's fine Blaine Anderson,' Kurt hops onto the bed. 'What's with the last name Hummel,' Kurt laughs. 'I have no idea actually, but I can feel I'm sobering up,' just now Kurt starts to realise where he actually is right now. 'And i don't know if that's a positive thing cause I am going to freak the fuck out,' the younger starts shaking. 'Kurt, calm down, try to breathe,' Blaine's soft words don't seem to help. 'What if Sam sees me here, he will hurt me again. Elliot, I need Elliot,' Blaine makes his way closer to Kurt. 'Kurt, Sam won't do you anything. And you and Elliot broke up. And even if you didn't, it is 4:30 in the morning he is asleep,' Blaine puts his arm around Kurt. 'It will be alright Kurt,' Kurt hugs the older. 'Please stay close to me,' he whispers into Blaine's shirt. 'I will stay here with you Kurt, try to get some sleep.'
'Blaine!' Sam's voice wakes the two boys up. 'Oh and Kurt,' Kurt feels shivers go through his spine. 'Did you get laid or something,' Blaine throws a shoe at Sam's head. 'No you asshole, Kurt was too scared to be left alone because he thought you were going to hurt him again,' Kurt hears Blaine get up from the bed. 'You should get out of the room now.' Sam mumbles something before closing the door. 'I swear that boy will be the death of me some day,' Blaine walks over to Kurt's side of the bed. 'Hey, he is gone,' Kurt slowly opens his eyes. 'I gotta call Rachel, where is my phone,' Kurt freaks out. 'I charged it for you,' Kurt takes his phone just to see that he has sixteen missed calls from Rachel and Finn. 'Your clothes smell like alcohol, you can take a set of my clothes if you want,' Blaine says. Kurt turns around seeing Blaine just getting dressed. 'Abs,' is all that leaves Kurt's mouth. Kurt smashes his hand against his mouth. 'I'm so sorry,' both of them start laughing. 'That was so incredibly inappropriate,' Kurt laughs. 'Go get dressed I'll give you a ride home,' Blaine throws a hoodie and some grey joggers over to Kurt.
'Please remember, I will try my best to keep Sam away, with some help from Santana probably,' Blaine's say, Kurt opens the car door. 'I will see you tomorrow at school, and I have no idea who Santana is to be honest,' Kurt smiles. He waves before Blaine rides off again leaving him alone. 'Was that that Blaine guy,' Kurt yelps. 'Finn! You scared the hell out of me!' Finn laughs. 'Rachel is worried about you so let's get you inside before she calls the police, or Elliot,' Kurt's chest hurts at the sound of that name. 'Did I say something wrong?' Kurt just shakes his head. 'I broke up with Elliot when I was drunk last night, drunk words are sober thoughts I guess.'That night Kurt is thinking, about how he spend the night at Blaine's place, how he somehow felt like they were ment to be friends but most of all about how NYADA was supposed to change his life but how it was just like high school.
