The Collision

It was a dark stormy night. Pitch black darkness. Moon was playing hide and seek with me. It was hidden behind the clouds. The little light I was getting was from my car's headlight. It was hard to see anything. The roads were wet. It was getting hard to drive. My tires were losing their grip on the road. My car was skidding. I wanted to get home as soon as possible but I wanted to get there safe. It was dead silence in the jungle. All the beasts seemed to be hidden inside their houses. To break the quietness, I was listening to light music. My eyes were focused on the road. My headlights weren't of any use in the stormy night. It started raining again. My roof was rattling. I heard the loud noise of wolves howling in the deep forest. I gazed at the sky. The moon was up again. A thin shimmering brook of moonlight, getting filtered by the clouds, was falling on the terrain. I was mesmerized by the sight of a moonbow. A dim ring of seven colors was surrounding. I hit something. "An Animal?"I asked myself. I got out of my car to see what it was. It was a girl. The ground slipped beneath my feet. I was swearing at fate. She looked twenty years old. The impact was too hard for her. There were wounds on her whole body. The most alarming injury was the one on her head. She was losing lots of blood. She fainted. I held her up in my arms and kept her gently on the front seat. I rushed my car through the storm. A girl on death's door was sitting next to me. I will blame myself for my entire life if something were to happen to her. I took her to the hospital. Doctors called the police in. I explained to them what happened. There was nothing on the girl which could identify her. The doctors looked after her wounds. "There's no serious wound." said the doctor. He thanked me for making it on time. She was out of danger. She couldn't seem to remember much. She was unable to talk or understand anything. Doctors gave her an injection and put her to sleep so that she doesn't panic. Doctors had to send her home as there was no vacancy in the hospital. There had been an accident on the same route. A bus fell down the cliff. Many were injured. No death casualties. I had to take her to my home. My home was one of the cheapest you could get in the city. A one-room kitchen. it was quite messy. No one ever comes to my flat. I am usually out for food or partying with my friends like every 23-year-olds out there. I threw the old empty packets for chips and fries into the dustbin. I cleaned the room a bit. "Looks tidy enough." I thought. I laid her down on the bed and sat near the television. I was listening to the news. I was hoping to see a missing report about her.  Everything that was on the news channel was either about the bus accident or robbery. Murders and politics. I turned the television off. I will have to search for the missing people blog in tomorrow's newspaper. I heard some movement. The girl gained consciousness. She stared right into my eyes. She looked around. She was wondering where she was. She was growling at me. "Damn! I broke her head. She went crazy because of me!!" I exclaimed. She sniffed her clothes and stared at me again. She sniffed around and looked towards the kitchen. She ran to the kitchen and started eating raw meat. I had to stop her. Humans can't digest raw meat. she bit on my arm. She must have thought that I am stealing her food. I gave her meatloaves instead and gestured to her to wait. I cooked ramen for her. I had ramen myself for dinner. She ate to her fullest and dozed off on the floor. I put her on the bed and went to sleep on the sofa. The sun was up. Sunlight was falling right on my face through the windows. I woke up to find out that I was sleeping next to a wolf.
