"My Lord, are you certain of your decisions? She's a mortal. Weak and fragile. Unlike us, they have shorter life span. And she's sick, My Lord"
Faustus began.

In the demon realm, lower and weaker demons scatter everywhere. They work under the higher demons or sometimes being played with by them.
"But what must I do, Faustus? This tingling feeling inside my heart..Whenever I look at her it makes me want to touch her..protect her..And always be with her.." Lucifer explained. In these thousand years, he had always been alone, doing his job and alone again. We all just want to love and be loved.

"But..My Lord.." Faustus disagreed, "She's bound to go to heaven and not here. You can't, My Lord" he added.
"How about I take her here!" Lucifer nearly yells, "I'm sure she'll love it here..with me. I ought to make her my brethren, Faustus"

Faustus slams his hand on the table, mad he shouted, "You mustn't stoop too low for just a mortal, My Lord" he continued, "If the others knew about this, it would cause catastrophe! She's a human, My Lord. And you are a devil. You both live in different worlds..You must stop this nonsense, Lucifer" in a lower voice.

Although, Faustus was his right hand. They were close like brothers, pushing each other's back whenever someone's bound to fall.

Lucifer, with his chin down, "..But I love her.." his voice trembled. He knew it from the deepest part of his heart that he adores her, yet why must things be cruel.
"..Faustus..I love her..so much that I'd leave this realm and be human together with her"

Faustus knew he was hurting..But what must he do? He can't do anything. Death is inevitable. She is dying. Faustus pat his shoulders, "You can't, My Lord. I know you love her..But you must stay here, and don't ever fall in love with mortals again. There are lots of gorgeous demons here. You can just pi-"
"But she's different!" Lucifer cuts him off,
"No one can be like her, Faustus. Don't even think you can compare her to those lowly faggots" he said, pissed.

"My apologies, My Lord" he bowed his head. Everyone knew one won't like it when they get Lucifer angry.
"But as I've said before, she's ill. You must give up this false puppy love" he added.

Silence.

The devil remained quiet, with his chin down. Faustus figured it was time for him to exit the room so he does.
"..Well then, I shall attend to my duties, My Lord. Please excuse me" he bowed and took his leave.

The Devil pondered on what he must to be with her..The love of his life.
"Tell me what to do..Dorothy"

And after a few days, she finally passed on. They last met on the day she finally said that she can't love him that way he loves her..But she will always have him in her heart. Forever and always.

"..But why..?! I love you more than your own husband!" Lucifer shouted.
"If you pick me.." "..If you pick me..I will love you everyday of my life..If you pick me..You can live, Dorothy..Live with me in the demon realm.." he desperately requested to which Dorothy shook her head.

"Don't do this, Lucifer. We..cannot be together..I will die while you stay here forever. I can't.."

"If you're mine then you won't worry about dying, Dorothy!" he shrieked and slowly went on his knees.
"Just..please..please pick me, Dorothy.."

"..I can't.." Dorothy shook her head.
Lucifer held her hand. Tight.
"..why?.." he asked.
"..Because..I am nothing more than just a mortal, Lucifer..We are bound to die, we can't love like you..You must let me go and wake up from this dream.." she slowly removes his hand from hers.
"You must go now, Lucifer..And I tell you, do not go back here ever again. Ever." as she goes out from the room.

Lucifer sat there as a tear fell from his eye. This mustn't what a devil must do. But everyone experiences heartbreak.
You don't know heartbreak until you're standing in front of the person you love more than anything, knowing it's time to say goodbye.

Loving someone is completely different for demons. For they live long more than mortals. They can live for hundreds, thousands, millions of years. Yet mortals don't even last a hundred. Even when married, mortals can not love the person their bound with. While demons, will honor and love you until the end of life.

And so days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. Months turned to years. Years have passed by and Lucifer focused himself on his work, distracting himself from the fact that his love will always be her. Only her.

Until a loner came, Abigail. And to his surprise, it's her daughter. It isn't the first time to feel nothing when talking to Lucifer. They share the same traits with Dorothy.

He thought he was finally over with Dorothy. But his mind slowly creeps back to her. No matter the situation, the people around him or what he's doing. She's always there.
In the deepest part of her mind.
