tonight i was off of work and my friend and i were going to this house party with the boys from immaculate heart and the girls from our lady. I was excited to say the least but i was only going to get out of the house and to smoke, parties weren't really my scene,i used to be a big party animal a few years ago but events happened and i began too hate them.
Before we left i got dressed in something that i would normally wear nothing too fancy but something i like.

After this i went downstairs, my mom wasn't home though she was a work still so i just left and walked to the party because i don't have a car and plus i would be drinking no doubt, i met up with my friend Sarah-jean, she doesn't really like parties but she wanted to come and who am i to tell her no " you look awesome Lana" SJ said walking up to me "thanks you too".
When we we get there the music is so loud, so we go right in towards the kitchen, for some reason everyone is looking at me but i ignore it and walk on in, we grab coronas and talk for awhile, i hear my friends Jeff yelling my name "LANA" he says running over to me and spinning me around " hey Jeff whats up" i say looking at him in the eyes " you look amazing" Jeff says smiling at me " thanks" i say looking down at myself " oh do you wanna go and have a joint upstairs" Jeff says taking my hand " yeah lets goo, wait Sarah you wanna come" i say looking at her " na i'll pass my dad drug test me once a week and he knows I'm here so i'll probably have to do one when i go home" SJ says sipping on her beer " okay but come up if you change you mind" i say then me and Jeff went upstairs.
When we get there we go to this separate room where a whole lot of other guys have already hot-boxed it 'hey Lana' they all say as we enter i smile and wave, Jeff then walks us towards a set of bean bags in the corner, and lights the joint, we take a few good puffs and i feel a good high, i like this feeling, i decide to leave the guys after an hour of being up there and head downstairs for some chips, but just as I'm leaving i notice someone familiar, Kyle, i immediately look away cause I'm like fuck what is he doing here and i run downstairs.
when i get down i hear my flip phone ringing i answer it and its Sarah-jean "hey where are you" i say covering one of my ears with my hand "i" SJ says before i interrupt her "one second i let me go outside so i can hear you better" i close the glass sliding doors behind me " hey sorry what were you gonna say" i said walking towards the back of the pool and sitting down while looking at the back of the house then SJ says " my dad picked me up early were going to San Francisco now because my grandma's sick I'm on my way to the airport already" I'm shocked by her statement, we go back to school this week and i'll be all alone " hey thats all good just wanted to make sure you were safe, have fun in san fran though" i say looking at the pool water " Bye Lana" with that she hangs up the phone.
Im sitting outside for awhile alone just smoking a cigarette looking at the pool until i hear the slide door opens, i don't bother looking up cause it probably someone having a smoke of there own, then i hear a voice standing over me say "Hey Lana"
I look up and see Kyle standing above me, i smile at him and say " hi Kyle" he smiles back and sits down beside me " what are you doing here, didn't think you know these kids" he says smiling at me, i laugh at his question a little and say " i normally don't go to these type things, but i uh, go to our lady, what are you doing here" he has his eyes on me the entire time and says "ah, i see i go to immaculate heart, i never really see you at these things, do you know people here" he asks, i nod my head and say " yeah i guess I'm like mutals with everyone one here, I mean they all know who am, so" i say looking at the pool.
" what do you mean they all know who you are" Kyle asks " i mean they all know who i am because, look i don't know they just do" i say not wanting to give him the real answer but I'm sure he'll find out "okay, well what are you doing out here all alone" Kyle asks, i still don't bother looking at him so i just say "i could say the same to you" then i look at him and he's reading a book "parties are boring to me " he says not bothering to look away from his page, roll my eyes at this and say " your so pretentious, aren't you" i laugh at this he looks up at me and says " no I'm not" he says this in an annoyed tone, i laugh even more at this and say "Thats exactly what pretentious person would say" Kyle laughs at this and says "but I'm not" i roll my eyes and again and before i can say anything more he kisses me and of course i kiss back.
After the kiss we just look in each others eyes for moment " your the most beautiful girl here you know that" Kyle says brushing a strand of hair behind my ear, i smile at this and say " no I'm not" Kyle looks at me again and says " lana you really are" i smile even harder at this.
We talked for like 2 hours i was getting tired now and realised i had work tomorrow, as we were laying there looking at the stars i sat up and said "Hey i should probably head home, i got work tomorrow" Kyle sat up at this and said " want me to take you home i haven't been drinking or anything and i drove here" i smiled at this and said " thanks but my mom is picking me up down the street i'll be okay" Kyle looks kinda bummed by this " alright well ill cya later" he says tucking my hair behind my ear then i say" bye Kyle" with that we kiss again then i leave.
On my walk home i started to think about him and how i was starting to like him even though this i the first time I've had an actual conversation, i liked how he smiled, how he talked to me about books and shit i thought it was hella cute but he still was acting with this mysterious bullshit.
I sneak back into my bedroom and fall asleep thinking about Kyle.
