You, Will, and Governor Swann ran down to Elizabeth's Cell.

"Hey you can't be here!" One of the Guards shouted.

"It think you'll find that we can. I'm still governor. I don't wear this wig to keep my head warm you know!" Governor Swanna shouted at them. You and Will explained the situation to Elizabeth.

"Jacks compass? What would he want with that?" Elizabeth asked.

"Does it matter? Were to find Jack and convince him to return to Port Royal and in exchange the charges against the three of us will be dropped." Will explained.

"No! We will find our own avenue to secure our freedom." Governor Swann tried to argue.

"Is that a lack of faith in Jack, Will or I?" You asked.

"The fact that you would risk your life to save Sparrows does not mean he would do the same for anyone else." He countered. You silently winced at the sentence. You remembered you and Jacks entanglement. You still don't know if Jack cared for you the way he said and you just couldn't get over yourself, or if he really was just trying to get you into bed.

"Now, where's that dog with the keys?" Governor Swann started whistling. You both looked at Elizabeth.

"I have faith in you. The three of you." Elizabeth said as she stroked Wills face. You looked away to keep from gagging. You didn't want to be around this type of emotion right now.

"Where will you find him?" Elizabeth questioned.

"Tortuga." You answered solemnly. It was almost like you could've cut out the middle man and just not left.

"We'll start there and won't stop searching until we find him. That is, if y/n won't want to stay there to continue her life in leaving piracy behind." Will looked at you with a sadness in his eyes. You contemplated it.

"I'll help. I can't leave you to the gallows. And the Royal Navy will know where to find me if I stay there. I will make sure you return to marry Elizabeth." You regrettably said. Soon after you coughed up blood. And you knew what that meant. You did your best to hide it.

"Properly?" Elizabeth smiled at Will.

"Eagerly if you'll still have me." Will answered.

"If it weren't for these bars I'd have you already." You continued to lean against the wall and look away. This felt like it should be a private moment. But the circumstances wouldn't allow for that.

"I'll wait for you." Elizabeth came close to Wills face.

"Keep a weather eye on the horizon." Will answered. The Governor reminded us of his presence by breaking a candle still off the wall in his search for the key. You and Will walked off to start the search and to find a ship.

The journey to tortuga was a rough one to say the least. It finally gave you and Will a chance to catch up.

"So. How was tortuga?" Will awkwardly questioned.

"It was... fun." You answered. Finally Will turned serious.

"Y/n i thought i was never going to see you again." Will walked up to you and put a hand on your shoulder.

"How are you? Really." Will asked sternly.

"When I was in tortuga i was convinced I left this all behind me. It was a huge step to leave you and Jack in the past. But i was doing okay. I had a place to sleep and a job. I worked as a bartender named Victoria. You should've seen the bosses face when they seized me." You chuckled. You couldn't look him in the eye.

"I'm suprised they were able to." Will smiled back.

"I can't believe you didn't marry Elizabeth on the spot." You said to him.

"You know, Royal Weddings require a ton of planning. Not the same kind of wedding we grew up with where the Captain just says your married and everyone drunk." Will smiled.

"Oh but those are so much more fun." You said, grabbing on to the mast and lazily spinning.

"How do you feel about seeing Sparrow again?" Will turned serious after the laughing was over.

"I don't know." You answered. "Truth be told the thought has been plaguing my mind. I guess I won't know until I see him." You looked down. You coughed and spit blood into the ocean. Will also knew what that meant.

"It's coming back I see." Will said with concern.

"Yeah. How amazing." You tried to cover your pain with the laugh.

"Did it ever truly go away?" Will asked.

"Well, it stayed for a bit after i left the pearl. But i truly don't know if it will ever go away." You answered.

"You know I'm here for you. Especially tonight. It's a full moon." Will looked at you.

"I know you wish for me to talk about it more. I already feel the effects coming on. I think I'll just try to drink as much as I can to drown it out." You answered with a weak smile.

"Y/n i would hope you know I can see the pain through your humor." He was right. No matter how hard you tried. You rubbed the key on your arm.

"I almost wanted to go back home. Where i can be with my people again and truly leave this behind. Drink ouzo until I can't remember the night before. But there's no one there for me anymore. And there's still a price on my head there. Athough i doubt they would recognize me." You said sadly.

"You know, you never told me much about your life in Greece." Will inquired.

"Well, I lived with my father on the island of Tripoli. I remember seeing my mother maybe twice. She brought me gifts whenever i would see her. Dolls and silver trinkets and blades, stuff like that. I had a pretty good life there. Playing around with the other island kids. Getting into some trouble here and there. The island miscreants." You smiled at the find memories.

"My father worked cleaning ships for the most part. I would come with him sometimes and help him to earn some of my own money. After all was done he would let me go play with the zouzounia. Which means the bugs because of how annoying we were. Of course all of that changed whenever my uncle came and told my dad of how they knew his secret. And they would either have to hand me over or kill him. And to protect me they shipped me off. They didn't know I was being sold as a slave. My uncle thought he was sending me off to help on voyages. He thought the wrong kind of help." You looked down sadly.

"I don't know what to say." Will looked at you sadly. "If you were to return to Greece would you go back to the islands?" Will asked you.

"No. I think i would go to the mainland. Maybe Thessaloniki. I've always wondered what the mountains are like." You contemplated.

"Whether you like it or not this is your life now y/n. I don't think you will be able to ever truly leave it behind. You're not the street rat who stole my bread all those years ago anymore." Will answered.

"That's exactly what I'm afraid of." And with that, you turned in for the night.
