You sat on the edge of the ship and waited for Will to wake up. He walked up to you.

"Y/n. Did you ever see your father?" He asked.

"I did." You reluctantly.

"I'm afraid to ask how it went." Will said cautiously.

"Honestly I don't know how to feel. I barely recognized him. Granted I haven't seen him in such a long time. But seeing him like that was just... I don't know." You explained.

"Did you guys talk about anything?" He asked.

"Well, he told me to run from this situation as soon as possible. I guess cutting and running is a family thing." You chuckled. "He told me I was never meant for this life. That I shouldn't be here." Your expression turned somber.

"Well not that it's any fault of his but I've been in your life more than he has and I've watched you grow up. I can say you've gotten pretty good at fighting your way through any situation." He smiled.

"You're right." You hugged Will. "Thank you." You said.

"For what?" He chuckled.

"Just for being there for me. For being my brother even though when you met me I was just a little street rat who stole your bread." You we're starting to tear up. Will wiped your face.

"Of course y/n." He smiled at you then walked back to Elizabeth. You walked up to Jack and Gibbs. Jack was cradling his jar of dirt.

"What happened to the former commodore?" Gibbs asked.

"He was left behind." Jack answered.

"Oh what a pity. Well best not wallow in our grief!" Gibbs followed Jack. "The important part is that you're back and you made it off free and clear!" Gibbs exclaimed. Suddenly, the Dutchman surfaced, rocking the Black Pearl.

"Way to give the universe ideas." You sighed.

"Lord on high, deliver us." Gibbs crosses himself. The whole half dead crew was shouting at you all getting ready for a fight.

"I'll handle this mate." Jack decided. Suddenly confident with his jar of dirt. "Oi! Fishface! Lose something?" Jack shouted at Jones, but of course he was distracted and fell down the stairs of the ship. Nevertheless, he got right back up. He started parading around the ship singing,

"Ive got a jar of dirt! Ive got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it!" Mocking Jones.

"Enough!" Jones decided. Jacks facial expression quickly changed as cannons emerged from the side of the Dutchman.

"Hard to starboard." Jack mumbled.

"Hard to starboard!" You ordered.

"Brace up the foreyard!" Will shouted. Gibbs spun the wheel as fast as he could to get away from the Dutchman. But of course the attempt grew futile as the cannons started firing into the Pearl.

"She's on us! She's on us!" Pintel and Ragetti shouted.

"Break fast!" Will shouted as Jack replaced Gibbs at the wheel.

"Come on darling, show us what you got!" Pintel said as he caressed the ship. You ran around trying to help the crew adjust the sails. You finally started to put some distance between you and the Dutchman.

"Aye we've got her!" Gibbs shouted.

"We're the faster?" Will asked, suprised.

"Against the wind the Dutchman beats us that's how she takes her pray, but with the wind..." You trailed off.

"We rob her advantage." Will finished.

"Aye." Gibbs answered.

"They're givin up!" The really short man shouted. The whole crew started celebrating. You and Will ran up to Jack.

"Our fathers are on that ship. If we can outrun her we can take her. We should turn and fight!" Will tried to explain.

"Why fight when you can negotiate." Jack countered. "All one needs is proper leverage." Jack looked lovingly at his jar of dirt. Suddenly the ship hit something and it rocked the whole boat. The jar of dirt fell from Jacks grasp and broke, revealing that there was... no heart inside? Jack ran down quickly to inspect, searching mercilessly through the spilled dirt.

"Where is it? Where is the thump thump?" Jack asked frantically.

"We must have hit a reef!" One of the crewman shouted. You looked into the ocean and heard growling.

"No. It's not a reef." You realized. You heard a low rumble come from under the sea. Will ran to Elizabeth.

"Get away from the rail!" He shouted as he grabbed her.

"What is it?" She asked, alarmed.

"The kraken!" Will answered.

"To arms!" Will ordered.

"Load guns to fend the mast!" Gibbs ordered.

"It'll attack the starboard. Run out the cannons and wait for my signal!" Will shouted as you all ran frantically around the ship. You went down to load the cannons with fodder, pushing people out of the way to get it done faster. You watched as the krakens tentacles slowly climbed up the ship. The size of the thing was a lot more than all of you were expecting, with suckers bigger than a mans head. You all heard the creaking and groaning of the ship. Will ran down.

"Easy boys!" He shouted as he held a hand out. You ran back up with him and grabbed a spear, though it seemed like a pretty minuscule way to fight such a giant beast.

"Steady! Steady..." Will was being patient. The krakens tentacles were starting to climb over the ship, getting a little to close for your comfort.

"Will?" Elizabeth asked.

"Hold. Hold." Will kept waiting.

"I think we've held fire long enough!" Pintel complained.

"Will!" Elizabeth screamed at him.

"Fire!" Will ordered. Every single cannon went off and the giant tentacles fell onto the ship. Nevertheless, the kraken retreated. The shrieking and the agony it was in was an awful sound. Everyone cheered as you all looked over the ship and finally felt safe. For now, at least.
