"Huh..?" My voice was barely audible as I stared my eyes back to the red ones in front of me.
A figure broke out in laughter behind me, his voice echoing throughout the walls to the point I cringed at how loud he was. The man in the gray cloak wiped the tears from his eyes and his toothy yellow smile never faltered from his face.
"Sorry... Sorry... My bad. I know we're all very serious about this, but to actually see how idiotic she is in front of me... I can't help but laugh," he smirked and glared at me, to which I flinched as he walked over to the skeleton standing in front of me, " It's no wonder the plan was so successful, damn prophecies never do fail do they?"
My face was still mixed with confusion as my legs slowly moved on their own as I backed slowly from them, only to bump into one of the guards behind me, holding a spear in his hand.
"Can I tell her sir? Please...? This is so amusing and I want to see her dreadful reaction when she learns the truth, plus he's not here yet so it doesn't matter right?" 202 directed his attention to his king, slightly bowing and asking him in a way that sounded like the manner of a stubborn child.
The King turned and walked away, " I don't care what you do, as long you're in your positions when he gets here.
Notch was still standing next to him as the cloaked man suddenly turned and smiled at me once again. I gasped slightly as sweat trickled down my forehead. I was terrified of the situation I was in at the moment, but I would have been lying to myself if I said I wasn't curious about what they were talking about.
"Why don't you tell her..?" 202 turned toward Notch who was staring at the ground with an unreadable expression. He lifted up his face as he stared back at him with no answer, accepting his question and took a step forward and gave an annoyed look that 202 who couldn't see from behind, which brought me to surprise.
"I guess this is officially the first time we meet face to face without someone portraying me, young (Y/N)..." I looked at him, he was much less threatening as I have seen him before, his face stayed the same but his expression was much softer and more human.
"So... You know of the Amulets of Destiny, right?" He asked me, he put his hands behind his back and strolled toward me as 202 glared from behind.
"Yes.." I responded, knowing I had no other choice.
"And you're aware of your powers...?" He continued.
"Yes..." My heart thumped in my chest, powers? Of course, that was the obvious answer, but it was so hard to believe that this whole time I was capable of such things, that all those weird scenarios weren't just luck or irony, that I was in control of everything that I found odd happening around me.
"And you're aware that powers can be stolen, from which you saw from Herobrine... So that also means powers can be placed within another person." he walked slow circles around me as if to teach me and drive me crazy with questions. "I guess... in a sense, you can view the Amulets of Destiny as being fake, but being real at the same time, since they don't exist, but they are in fact a person, that being you. But you must be wondering, why on earth do they exist if they are fake? And for that matter, why did we create them? And how are you considered part of them?"I looked down at the ground, not saying anything knowing he already knew I wanted to know the answer to his question.
"As you know, The Nether has been in war with the Mortal and the End realm, that being with me Dreadlord, against Herobrine. Two against one sounds easy right?" He stopped in his tracks to peer at me dead in the face... "Turns out, Herobrine's powers were stronger than we thought. He took out both of our armies in one swoop 20 years ago, almost killing us both in the process, even though his powers were not even inherited through his DNA, they were given to him, which is usually not as powerful as obtaining it through blood." I looked at him slightly, my eyes peering at him from the lid on my eyes so I didn't have to stare into his soulless pupils, he closed his eyes as he continued his conversation
"Now... What could make Herobrine so powerful from the rest of us despite what should have been weaker power, hm? I'm sure you already know why, everyone does" He tilted his head and opened his eyes slightly to peer at me as I stared back at him with my clueless eyes, unable to think for myself in this terrifying situation.
"He is a half-demon... Born from a human father... And the vile soul of his mother." My heart thumped in my chest. Everyone since now has called Hero a demon, but the reasons for this were unclear. Humans called him a demon because of the acts he committed seeing him as a human... But if he is indeed a demon, then he could definitely eradicate anyone's insight without his powers...I lifted my head, realizing the more about the truth the more I thought He's been holding back... He could kill people, but he didn't because of his human heart. Which means he's not as bad as everyone sees.
"His mother fell in love with the King and he gave in and even had an affair with her, giving birth to her one and only son before leaving this world behind, and it's still a mystery of the cause of her death to this very day. That's when the king started to take care of him as his new son, also seen as the son of the original Queen."
"But... Our father didn't give him all his power up to me or Hero, he kept some of it for himself so he could continue ruling until he would eventually grow out of it. So we took this knowledge to our advantage to take back the Nether and his inhumane powers, to rule all three domains as we wanted and take over future domains that are yet to be discovered." He opened his eyes and looked down at me." We took his powers and killed him..." I gasped, looked up at him. Suddenly, a burst of anger ruptured through my core, and I couldn't help but shout and ignore the fear built with me
"You killed your father?!" I yelled with all my might, sadness in my voice, and sympathy for the evil Hero had to deal with. To my surprise, my shout made Notch flinch just a small bit, and at that moment I swore I saw a face of guilt before he closed his eyes and recomposed himself.
"We stole the power from our Father and killed him... Used half that power to create a prophecy, and the other to complete it," he stared at me as he revealed the answer I was still confused of, I looked at him as tears pricked from the corner of my eyes as the truth slowly unraveled in front of me.
"We put the king's power within a child and brought out a fake prophecy to lure out Herobrine from his chambers. The true prophecy was indeed the child, who would grow up and the shared powers within that prophecy and Hero, it would connect them which would continue to lure him until this very day and bring him here for the final blow... That being you." He stopped his conversation to watch my reaction.
My body stopped moving, my breath ceased in my throat and the tears suddenly started to run down my face. My whole life...My destiny was bringing Hero here to his end, I was the bait that would set him up in the trap. I thought I was trying to help him. But this whole time what I thought I was doing right was just a double-edged sword that would bring me and Hero to our end. My thoughts were interrupted by A knight behind me who began to speak with boldness.
"Entity is our greatest weapon. He has demon blood and the power we took from Herobrine. His identity was hidden so Herobrines anger for his brother continued to grow without keeping his guard up of our secret weapon. We have all his respect for when he becomes the powerful ruler of the Nether"The knight said as I turned and whipped my face around, the saddened tears on my face turned to anger.
"YOU''LL NEVER BEAT HERO, YOU HEAR ME! HES GONNA COME HERE AND TAKE HIS POWERS BACK AND KILL YOU ALL!"Before I could continue my mourning, I was suddenly pushed by the nights over to the middle of the room, and as I continued walking I suddenly fully understood their plan. Hundreds of od knights were up high and low alongside the chamber. Nets, Cannonballs, Dynamight, Positions, and all the eye could see were visible from a distance as they prepared for battle with the beast.
The guard pushed me to the middle where he placed short chains on my arms and legs, which made my arms extend wide, and my body unable to move. When finished, the knight looked at me and walked to a nearby position with the other soldiers as 202 and Notch stood right in front of me from a distance.
"One last thing," 202 held a piece of clothing attached to a string and attached it to my mouth so I was unable to speak. "Don't want our little secret to be out-"202 said as the door busted open from the chamber, echoing throughout the hall as all eyes turned toward a guard who was the source of the signal.
"HE'S HERE!"
