He backed away from me to look around his surroundings to avoid eye contact, his expression hiding all his emotions as usual. I signed, wiping the left tears off of my face.

"So.." I started, trying to start a conversation to end the awkwardness," what are we going to do next..?"

He grunted at my question and turned around to look back into the darkness where he came out of. I followed my eyes to where he turned, and immediately panicked.

"No no no! I am not going into a dark cave after I was just almost murdered," I said to him, "plus, I lost all my equipment while you were fighting with Notch, I don't know how but it all disappeared, I just noticed earlier and-"

"Haven't you figured it out already? it was part of his power," He interrupted, like normal, but this time he sounded irritated and refused to look in my general direction. He was so confused, changing his emotions all of sudden and I didn't know how to handle it. "This just gives us more of a reason to go into the cave, I didn't go that deep into it but I still saw quite a bit of reliable resources," He finished.

"Then how did you get the potion?" I asked with confusion in my voice.

"A witch," He turned his head to look at me in the corner of his eye.

"A witch!?" I said out loud a bit more intense then I wanted to, "you just said you didn't go that deep into the cave, and you already found a witch?! How do you expect me to be ok with that?"

He turned towards me and grabbed my wrist, he obviously was done dealing with me and was growing impatient. I didn't really have a right to complain after what he just did, so I let him drag me deeper and deeper into the cave without a single word coming from my mouth, letting myself believe that as long as I was with him everything would be alright.

Moments went by to which I could see nothing, and it was honestly the worst situation I could be in. He still had his arm on my wrist, guiding me through the cave, but I would every so often trip on a rock bump into him which made him groan in annoyance every time. The longer we were in the darkness the more scared I felt, I could hear the groans of zombies echoing in the distance and the hissing of spiders that would send a chill down my spine. I eventually was tired of the silence and tried to talk to him to ease my anxiety.

"How can you see here..?" I whispered loud enough for him to hear. At first, he didn't respond which made me even more anxious, he obviously was in no mood to strike up a conversation.

"I'm used to it." he mumbled, His response made my heart sink with guilt. I never expected a depressing answer like that and I tried to avoid asking more questions but his response intrigued me even more.

"Have-have.. you always lived in the darkness..?" I hesitantly asked him at first but decided that I wanted to learn more about him.

"Hmh.." was his only response, which I guess meant a yes in his annoyed response and the conversation sounded like it made him uncomfortable.

"You know..." I paused to inhale, hoping I wouldn't regret what I was going to say "we've been through a lot... enough to where I trust you. When this is all over, I'm gonna move away from my parents into the woods. Maybe you could stay with me?"

He abruptly stopped which made me bump into him and decided maybe it wasn't the best thing to ask.

"Sorry... I mean- you don't have to it was just a suggest-"

"You trust me too much and it's annoying" His harsh response left me with nothing but a blank expression, and it surprisingly left me with a sad feeling. He continued to walk to who knows where, but I suddenly saw something for the first time in what felt like hours, a small light in the distance.
