Chapter-28

Jeonghan POV

Jisoo and mom were sitting in the lounge looking upset. Hoshi was standing oddly quiet probably angry with me. They both stand up after looking at me. I go towards Jisoo and side hugs her with a smile. I then go and stand infront of mom.

"I'm sorry." I look down not being able to meet her gaze. She hugs me without even questioning or scolding me. I hug her back and try my best to control my tears. Great Yoon Jeonghan, today you're gonna lose another mother.

"Where is Dino?" I ask with confusion while releasing the hug.

"We don't know. He just gave us this for you and left without saying anything." Jisoo hands me a letter. I open it immediately.

I knew I wouldn't be able to stop you hyung. I wouldn't be able to see you leave either because it hurts very much when your brother leaves you. First, Seokmin hyung left me now you are leaving. I'll remember not to be this close with anyone again.

I wipe the drop of tear which fell on my cheek while reading his letter. How cruel I am but once I'll leave everything will be okay.

Y/N POV

I haven't signed the deal yet. Mingyu was very happy about the deal. He was introducing me to different business people but my mind was still in a mess because of Jeonghan. Why he didn't reply to my messages? Is he that mad at me? But I apologized already. Suddenly I notice a familiar figure and sigh in relief.

"Unnie, where were you?" I ask but Jisoo unnie drags me to a corner instead of replying.

"What do you think you are doing?" She asks in a very serious tone. I get confused.

"For whom you're doing everything? Not for yourself. Right?" Unnie asks.

"What are you trying to say?" I frown.

"Do you know why are you here alone today Y/N? Why me, mom, dad, Dino no one is here with you? Why Jeonghan isn't here? Have you forgotten before Jeonghan came into our lives, we all knew that Lee Industry was going to finish. Jeonghan was the one to give us hope. He made everything right again." She states giving me a piece of her mind. Indeed, Jeonghan is the reason why everything is fine today.

"Today that same Jeonghan is going back to Korea." Unnie adds with sadness dripping from her words.

Shock was evident on my face because of the sudden revelation. Jeonghan was going back. I couldn't believe this. Unnie holds my face in her hands.

"Y/N, all of this is happening because of you. And only you can make this right. Don't forget that Jeonghan is our family and this is hurting everyone including mom, dad, Dino and you. Don't hurt yourself again Y/N. Don't separate yourself from the one you love. Go and stop him Y/N or else you'll regret it your whole life." Realization hits me like a truck. I'm gonna lose him. I'm gonna lose the only person I love. I can't let this happen again.

I immediately run outside without caring about all the stares and Mingyu's voice calling me. Yup I don't give a hell about anyone. But little did I know someone already listened to our whole conversation.  I see Hoshi waving with his car keys at me outside.

"Let's go and stop that stupid man." I say while getting inside the car quickly.

"Your wish my command Y/N." He starts the engine and begins to drive. I try calling Jeonghan many times but he didn't pick up. Damn you Yoon Jeonghan. You'll give me a heart attack.

Hoshi tells me to go inside the airport while he parks the car. I waste no time in getting off the car and rushing inside. I begin to search for Jeonghan. Thankfully there were still 20 minutes left in his flight. I search for him for about 5 minutes and finally spot him sitting alone in a corner. I inhale a breath in relief.

"Jeonghan." I shout to get his attention. He looks towards me and stands up with wide eyes. What did you think? That I'll let you go that easily. I go towards him without wasting a second.

"What do you think? Whenever you like you can come into our lives and whenever you want you can go from our lives? You won't even ask me or atleast tell me? Is everything some kind of a joke to you?" I glare at him.

I was beyond angry. I know it was my fault but he was also not innocent. He really decided to leave just because of my one mistake.

"Y/N I'm not needed here anymore." He reply while avoiding my gaze. I frown.

Jeonghan POV

"Who doesn't need you? Mom, dad, Dino or me?" She asks me.

"I'm talking about Lee Industries." I reply trying to cut our conversation short. Seriously Jeonghan what a shitty reason. She stares at me in disbelief and scoffs.

"So now there's only Lee industry between us. Have you ever tried to know if I need you or not? Did you ever try to notice that after Seokmin's death, it was you who helped me believe in life again? Have you ever tried to think that I can also love you?" She asks and takes me by surprise.

"Yes Yoon Jeonghan. I love you." She confesses. My heart beat gets fast. She loves me. She really does. But I get hopeless again because once she'll know I'm the one to kill Seokmin, she'll hate me forever. I close my eyes and sigh.

"I don't love you." Yes, I love you
Y/N. I just can't say it to you. I avoid her gaze.

"You're lying." Her eyes get watery. I can't see tears in her eyes but this is for her own sake.

"No, I'm saying the truth." Yes I'm lying. I try to sound heartless.

"No Jeonghan. You are lying. My eyes can't be mistaken." Tears begin to fall from her eyes. I remain silent.

"Jeonghan look into my eyes and say you don't love me." She insists while wiping her tears aggressively. Gosh. I'll have to do this. I gather the courage and look into her eyes. Sorry Y/N.

"I don't love you Y/N." I state calmly. Hurt flashes through her dark brown orbs. Her breath hitches and tears make their way out of her eyes once again.

I turn around without saying anything more and go towards my terminal. A tear escapes my eye. Only 5 minutes were left in my flight. Guess this is the end for us Y/N. Good Bye.
