Chapter-12

Dad got discharged from the hospital. Days passed and everything went back to normal. I was in my office discussing with Jeonghan about an important deal until someone interrupts us with a knock at the door.

"Come in." I say. Ms Somi enters the room.

"This is a fax from Kim Corporation." She hands the fax to Jeonghan and leaves. Jeonghan examines it after muttering a quick thanks.

"Brilliant. I knew this arrogant man will give us an appointment because my letter was that good." He brags while handing me the fax. I chuckle.

"He really is arrogant. He has given the appointment after 2 days. Someone has to go to Seoul by tonight's flight." I frown.

"Not someone but us. We'll go to Korea ourselves." Jeonghan informs.

"How can we-" Jeonghan cuts my sentence.

"This is a very important deal Y/N. We can't take risks. We'll have to go by ourselves and persue that jerk. Once that man is convinced, it'll be so beneficial for our company. Think wisely." He says.

"You are right but it means we have to leave tonight only then we'll be able to make it on time." I reply with worry.

"Don't worry about anything. Go home and pack. I'll handle the bookings and other things." He says. I look at him with thankful eyes drippin with love. Wait love?

"I know you're thankful. No need to say it again and again. Now go." He chuckles as if he has read my eyes. I blush.

In the Evening

Jeonghan POV

I just got done with all the bookings and office work and arrived home. I was tired now. But I know it's worth it. For Y/N's smile, it's worth it. Her single smile can make my day. I was smiling to myself when someone coughs loudly and startles me.

"Hosh. When did you arrive?" I ask him.

"I arrived the same time you were in deep thoughts of Y/N." He teases me. My eyes widen.

"How do you.. I mean I wasn't." I stutter. He sits beside me and places a hand on my shoulder.

"So now my friend will try to hide things from me. You can't Yoon Jeonghan." Hoshi smirks and continues.

"One doesn't behave like this normally. You are always lost in your thoughts. Once someone mentions
Y/N's name, your mood suddenly changes. Let me state the truth. YOU HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE." He emphasizes the last sentence.

"Don't talk rubb..." Hoshi cuts my sentence.

"Don't interrupt me Yoon. I'm still not finished." He says seriously.

"You'll not accept it. But you have to. You have fallen in love with Y/N. Your day starts from seeing her, your night ends when you talk to her. Anyone can see it in your eyes." Hoshi says while folding arms. I look away blushing.

"Don't talk nonsense Hosh." I bite my lip.

"Who are you hiding it from? From me? But you can't hide it from yourself my friend. Think carefully." Hoshi advises. I was about to say something but then I remember that me and Y/N have a flight to catch. My eyes widen.

"We'll talk about it later otherwise I'll miss the flight." I stand up and rush in my room to last check everything.

Y/N POV

I was packing my stuff. Unnie was helping me.

"Sometimes our fate can be changed with anyone's help. Right?" Unnie asks suddenly.

"What do you mean by that?" I ask instead of answering.

"I'm talking about Jeonghan. You didn't even want to appoint him at work. Now look how he has helped you in changing company's fate." She exclaims while folding my clothes.

"Yeah you're right. It's all because of his hard work and determination. Besides he always wants everyone around him happy. Such people are very hard to find. Honestly, after Seokmin I didn't even have the courage to enter the office. But today I want to lead that same office in a new beautiful direction. Just because of him." I smile thinking about Jeonghan. Jisoo unnie was staring at me.

"When will you think the same about your own life?" Unnie asks.

"What?" I ask in confusion.

"To take it into a beautiful new direction." She says. I look at the ground and think about it.

"Do you like Jeonghan?" She asks. I look at her in surprise.

"He's a nice boy. Think about it." She pats my head and leaves the room. Jeonghan, Jeonghan, Jeonghan. What have you done to my life? I smile and complete my packing.

I suddenly remember that Jeonghan had so much work to do today. Poor him. I should have offered my help. I call him.

Jeonghan: Hey. I was about to call you.

Y/N: Are you fine? Do you need my help? I can book...

Jeonghan: Y/N relax. Calm down. I've already done everything. Don't worry.

Y/N: I'm so sorry. I should've helped you with all the work.

Jeonghan: Stop it Y/N. You did enough work today. I only handled the rest. Now get ready I'm coming to pick you. We've a flight to catch.

Y/N: Okay and thanks.

Jeonghan: Oh, and no more thanks and sorries. Bye.

Y/N: Bye.

He ends the call. I smile to myself thinking about him. Why is he so nice to me? Does he feel the same as I feel for him? Does he also like me? Wait a minute. Do I like him? Yes! No! I don't know. I grab my hair and sigh. Let's not waste time for now and get ready Y/N.
