Chapter-20

This hyung is really unbelievable.

"There's nothing between them. Jeonghan is just an efficient and reliable employee. Nothing more." I reply after clicking my tongue. He really knows how to annoy me. I begin to appreciate the surroundings again and try my best to ignore hyung.

"Okay if you say so. But are you signing this deal just because of Y/N?" Hyung asks. This hyung!

"Hyung please. What's with all the weird questions? I'm not signing this because of Y/N. I wanted to work with Lee Industries since before. And because of Jeonghan and Y/N's determination I want to sign this deal." I exclaim loudly.

"But don't y-" i cut his words.

"Woozi hyung, I think it's enough for today. Know make sure to remind me to inform Y/N and Jeonghan about the deal and event." I order him.

"I want everything to go my way." I add.

"Don't worry. I'll handle everything." He reassures. Y/N's thoughts cover my mind again and my mood brighten up. Wah. I'm seriously in love.

Jeonghan POV

Mingyu was on the call with me discussing about the deal.

Jeonghan: Has our quotation reached you Si- Mingyu?

Mingyu: Yes it did. You surely did a great job on it.

Jeonghan: Thank you. I'll give the call to Y/N, wait a minute please.

I enter Y/N's room after knocking. She looks at me confused.

"Mingyu's call." I whisper and hands her my phone.

I couldn't focus on the call because of her smile. She was looking excited while talking to him. However I wanted to be the reason of that smile and excitement. How selfish of me!

"Jeonghan." Y/N's voice cuts my train of thoughts.

"Yes." I reply blankly. She hands my phone back to me.

"He is opening a new branch here and has invited us both to the party in celebration of it." She informs me with a smile. I nod and exit her office. Something doesn't seem right. All of the sudden a new branch. What is he upto? Is it because he wants to get closer to Y/N?

At Mingyu's Party

Mingyu and Woozi welcomes me and Y/N at the party and introduce us to other business partners and guests. After sometime they lead us to a meeting room.

"Let's sign the deal now. Shall we?" Mingyu asks. Y/N nods and looks at me. I give her a reassuring nod. She smiles and signs the deal. That smile is very dangerous for me.

"Congratulations Y/N. We're partners now." Mingyu states proudly and shakes hands with Y/N. He keeps on shaking hands with her. Aish. This guy always gets on my nerves.

Y/N clears her throat. Mingyu leaves her hands immediately embarrassed and congratulates me also. I congratulate back, plastering a fake smile. After a few minutes we join the party again. Mingyu introduces us to other people.

I was staring at Y/N from a far talking to someone. She was looking beautiful. Her dress was looking like it was made for her. Her hair were tied in a low ponytail adding grace to the outfit. Her face was looking so angelic. {A/N: look who's talking 😏😂 the angel himself. Ok sorry}

Someone clears his throat beside me and snaps me out of my trance. I look aside to see Mingyu standing next to me.

"Some faces are simply so loveable, aren't they?" He asks while staring at Y/N. I roll my eyes.

"You love Y/N, don't you?" He catches me off guard.

"N-no, I don't." I reply while trying to sound confident. He looks at me with a smile and leaves. Shit. Was I too obvious?

Next Day

Hoshi and I were at a cafe and he was constantly pissing me.

"I'm talking to you Yoon. Are you even listening?" He yells which causes alot of people to look at us. I apologize embarrassed.

"What's the problem with you Jeonghan? You told me that Mingyu is a nice guy. He is rich. And most importantly he loves Y/N. Then why are you getting angry?" He asks seriously. I'm not angry. Or am I?

"Why? Why?" Hoshi questions with annoyance. I explode.

"Yes. I told you all of this. I told you that he is a nice and rich man. I also told you that he loves Y/N. But one thing that I didn't tell you is that I also love her. Yes, I love Y/N." My voice gets lower by the confession part.

"But it doesn't matter how much I love her, I won't be able to tell her that I love her without telling her the whole truth." I confess. Hoshi shakes his head as a no.

"What if she confesses to you someday?" He asks. I begin to think about it.

"That will be a disaster." I reply with fear.

"I can't say yes and I wouldn't be able to say no." My eyes get wet just from the thought of it.

"You can say yes Jeong-" I cut him.

"No, I can't. I can't say it to her. I can't let her know that I love her. Because a person like me doesn't deserve to be with her. I can't give her my love even if I want to I can't because I've only taken from her." I explain with guilt.

"You haven't taken from her Jeonghan. You didn't do it on purpose. It was a mistake." Hoshi tried to reassure me but it was all in vain. Once again the feeling of guilt took over my body as I replayed in my mind what happened almost an year ago. It shouldn't have happened. It shouldn't have.
