As I made my way through campus I spotted Mr.Liptons door. I pushed the door and nothing.
Locked.
The door opened just enough for him to see my face.
"Mrs. Johnson. Only 20 minutes late today."
Mr.Lipton did nothing to hide his annoyance. His eyes were tired and had dark bags beneath them. He was sweating in his suit he insisted on wearing in the 90 degree weather. He looked like he hadn't shaved in weeks. I've always wondered his age. He looked to be about in his late twenties. He was well built but his shoulders always hung, and he walked with a limp. I shoved past him without answering and took my seat next to Macy. He left the door open and returned to the center of his classroom. I gently tugged at my notebook sticking out of my leather bag and opened it to a fresh page. Hanging on to every word about his opinion on social policy, I jotted his thoughts as quickly as possible, looking up every few seconds, searching his face for sincerity. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Macy watching me. Macy had hair that reached the middle of her back. Her roots were a dark purple and the ends of her hair faded to a lighter pink. She was always dressing in patterned leggings and nice blouses. She was obsessed with platform boots and it made her seem taller than me even though she's few inches shorter. She gets an amazing sparkle in her light hazel eyes every time she looks at me. Her body had all the right curves in all the right places and seeing her always turned me on. This was her third year at Cambridge. We had a long distance relationship until I got accepted to the same school as her in Australia. We had been together for almost five years and I met her at a small diner in America. She was always fighting with her mother about our relationship. Her mother hated me and that really tore her up sometimes.
"Jeremi? Are you okay?" She asked in a hushed tone.
I nodded in response without looking up. I didn't want her knowing how torn up I was. I hated when she worried. She had enough going on and she really didn't need the extra stress on her plate. She shot me a strange look and stared at me for a long time.
"You are dismissed." Mr.Lipton turned his back to me and began writing something down.
I hurriedly packed up thinking of the route to my next class. Macy lingered and watched me carefully.
"I'm going to walk you to your next class love." She assured me.
"It's okay. I know where I'm going.". I mumbled. I had no idea where I was going. I just started at Cambridge University two days ago as a freshman, but I wanted to be alone. I moved past her before she could answer. Mr. Lipton handed me a folded up piece of paper, and limped away. I shrugged it off and placed it in my pocket.
