After 5 more hours of two different classes I searched the parking lot for my truck. As I found it, I automatically pressed the button to unlock it on my keys and threw my bag in the passenger seat. I checked my blue iphone for text messages. Nothing. I sighed heavily and began to jam it into my pocket. It wouldn't fit and I remembered when Mr.Lipton handed my the piece of paper. I gently pulled it out trying not to rip it. I unfolded it carefully and read it out loud.

" Next time you're late, you'll have to make it up to me somehow" It ended with a drawn winky face. My eyes widened. I made a retching sound and threw the wadded up piece of paper on my dash. I grunted in frustration. I sat for a few moments contemplating my next move. I pushed my door open and leveled myself to the ground. I slammed my truck door not worried about locking it. I left almost everything including my iphone in the truck. My fists clenched tighter with every step I took. I can't believe that mother fucker. I banged on the door that had the name "Nick Montgomery" sprawled in bold across a blurred window. I waited a few moments and heard a faint voice mumble something. The office door swung open and in front of me stood a tall man with carefully cut dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark button down shirt and regular jeans. He wore what looked like brand new converse. He look irritated and worn down. He seemed to be my age. I studied his dark green eyes for a moment. Lost in them.

" Well? " He asked.

" Um you're the dean? " I questioned, unsure due to his young face.

" Nick. " He replied, stretching his arm out offering a handshake.

I shook his hand and yanked it away immediately. Something was off. He gave me a strange look but welcomed me in his office.

" One of my teachers wrote me an inappropriate note " I said with my head down pissed off.

" Who? " He chuckled.

" Mr. Lipton " I answered annoyed at his amusement. I handed him the piece of paper Mr.Lipton scribbled on. He studied it for a long time.

" How do I know this is real? " He challenged.

" Are you fucking serious? " I yelled. He stared at me blankly. I snatched the note from him and slammed his door behind me.

" Hey wait!. I'm sorry. What's your name? " He called after me.

I kept walking not looking back. He caught up to me and grabbed my shoulder. I cringed before turning around. There was something off about his touch. It gave me the chills. It felt cold and dead. He was Gaisshen. I sniffed the air to smell what clan he was from. Jelvirus. Great. He can read my mind and now he knows I know he's Gaisshen. I gave him a look. He realized what he had just done and backed up a few steps. He had felt it too. I could tell he thought it was me.

"What clan are you from?" He snapped.

I rolled my eyes. "Take a guess smart guy."

"The hybrid?!" He asked excitedly.

I rolled my eyes in response. "Who the fuck are you?" I asked

"James." He paused. "My father is leader of the Konaera clan." He answered.

"Great. So do I get a free pass to kill my professor?" I asked politely.

"Actually we need him." He sighed before continuing. "His blood holds the Nireetya cure. He isn't Gaisshen. His mother is leader of the Niretium clan. His father is human. He has no idea who he is, but his blood can stop the sickness that is killing off our kind." He said slowly.

"So lets drain his blood and kill him. Problem solved." I smirked.

"Unfortunately we need 200 gallons of blood to secure the infection. He has to reproduce two more generations and we will hand the family over to the Niretium Clan. There, they will take blood from each being every day until we have enough, then we may kill them."

"He has to mate with a Gaisshen than?" I asked.

"His own mother. "
