It Can't Be Him

Chapter 4

Alexis

"First," The Alpha says "Why did you run from me?" He looks at me hurt apparant on his face.

I felt a need to cheer up my mate " I'm sorry. I was just afraid."

"Don't be afraid of me. I am here to protect you always just like I did with that rouge back there."

"Thanks for that" I say shyly. He comes up and kisses my cheek. I force myself to push him away, though not with as much force as I should have.

"You don't have to thank me." He says in a controlled voice. I blush and look down but he pushes my chin up to look at him and he smiles "Again, you dont have to hide yourself from me."

I can't help but smile at this. He leans in to kiss me but I swat at him backing away.

"Enough of this! I dont even know your name!" I state.

"Luca" He replies, his eyes dark with lust "And what beautiful name does my beautiful mate have?"

I roll my eyes "Alexis, but you can call me Alex."

He smiles then his eyes glaze over and I know he is getting contacted through his packs link.

"I have to go. Just make yourself at home." And he walks out the door closing it behind him.

I look around and see just how big his room is. There is a giant king size bed in front of a huge flatscreen TV. There is a giant walk in closet and a little sitting place with a couch in front of a fire place. And the bathroom is huge!

There is a giant steam shower and a huge hot-tub thing that looks awesome and really cool sinks.

Wow how pathetic are you? Admiring sinks?Selena laughs.

Shut up I roll my eyes.

I sit down on the couch and realize how tired I am. I look around and my eyes settle on the bed. He did say to make myself at home.

I climb into the bed that is super comfy and inhale Luca's scent. I drift off thinking about him. And wondering if maybe something could happen.

I wake up and it takes me a minute to register where I am. When everything hits me I freak out. I try to mind-link john but I can't get to him.

Oh my god, Selena how did we let this happen?

What do you mean this is amazing! We found our mate!

We found our mate 6 years ago when he ripped our dad apart!

I have to get out of here. Where is the gang. Did they get caught? Did they escape?

'Focus!' I say to myself. All of a sudden the door starts opening. My head snaps towards the door and see Luca walk in.

He seems tired and doesn't seem to notice i'm awake. He takes his shirt off and walks into the bathroom and starts to undress. I force myself to look away until I here the shower running.

I start to look around and take notice of my surroundings and relize that it is dark out side, the clock reads 10:30. Dang I was out for a while.

I hear the shower stop running and then Luca walks out with a towel around his waist. I study his body and Selena growls in affection. I reach his eyes and see him smirking at me. I immediately blush and look away.

He just walks away and into a walk in closet changing into a fresh pair of boxers and he comes out wearing nothing else. He walks over to the bed and pulls the covers back.

"Uhmmm what do you think you're doing?" I ask him raising my eyebrows.

"Getting into bed." He replies.

"Not a chance," I look him in the eye and and throw him a pillow, "the couch is wide open though.

I wake up and bury my head into my pillow which is warm and hard. Wait, did I just say hard? My eyes shoot open meeting amazing green ones.

"Good Morning sunshine." Luca whispers to me in a husky voice. He is looking down at me smiling me with his arms around me pulling me close to his chest. I pull away and get out of bed and realize I am still in only his shirt.

I pull it down lower. "I need clothes and when I get out of here you should be gone." I walk into the bathroom and close the door and turn the shower on.
