It Can't Be Him

Chapter 7

Luca

After I finished my pack work I had gone back home to see Alexis.

I saw my mom in the kitchen making Axle and Jaxon some lunch. I waved and said hi.

Alexis wasn't in Mac or my rooms but I caught her amazing cinnamon vanilla smell and followed it to Henry's room.

I saw that they were playing a game on the floor. Henry was smiling so I assumed he was winning like he always is in board games.

I smile at how nice Alexis is to Henry. I think about how she will make a great Luna one day.

When  they finish Henry says something about a Ham sandwich then Alexis starts tickling him.

She is gentle and makes sure that she doesn't hurt him. I smile.

"Henry, Moms home." I tell him after Alexis stops.

they both look at me then Henry jumps up and runs out the door towards the stairs

I tell Alexis what i was thinking earlier.

Alexis

After I finish picking up the game Luca asks if we can talk.

I nod and he turns and walks down the hallway I follow and we end up in a small rock garden that I love.

Luca sits down and motions for me to too.

"Whats up?" I ask.

" I wanted to ask you to join the pack."

I thought about and realized that I could get a few things If I did. Plus I would get to see my true wolf.

"First, I have a question." I tell him.

"Okay. What is it?"

"What happened to my friends?" He looks at me weird, "the people I came here with."

"They-we, we have them in cells."

"Ok I'll join your pack on a few conditions."

"Okay, What?" He asks.

"My friends get released."

"No."

I ignore him "And they get to join the pack too. And any charges that other packs have against us you have to dismiss."

"I can't do that." He states.

"And we get our own house on your land."

"Alexis NO!"

"Then I can't join the pack!" I say. Luca thinks for a while then sighs.

"Fine! I will let your friends out but I have to see how they act before they join the pack."

"Yesss!" I run out into the hall and knock on Mackenzie's door.

"Come in!" I hear her yell. I open the door "Hey" She smiles.

"Hey. Sooo, I am gonna join the pack!" I tell her smiling.

"Really? Yes!" She squeals "Let me show you around!"

Mac grabs my hand and pulls me all the way down stairs and out the door.

She leads me through the village pointing out shops and restaurants. After we stop by a bakery and get some donuts we head to a big building which I assume is the training center. We walk in and I see I am right.

There is a huge gym with a bunch of pups training with a big guy.

"This is the training center. Upstairs is where the older warriors train. Downstairs is where the really young pups train. This area is usually for the pack warriors and enforcers but sometimes the older pups will train in here. Come on I have to show you this, your gonna LOVE it!"

She leads me around the pups and out two doors where my jaw drops.

There is a huge yard that goes into the edge of the forest. I see kids a little younger than me racing up the trees where there are flags at the top. There is a big climbing wall up the side of the building where I see other kids climbing. I see  a high obstacle course where pups are climbing and jumping over things with a big pool below them if they fall. At the other side of the pool people are swimming and diving. There are pups running laps around the yard and wolves sparring. There are older people sprinkled around which have to be the trainers.

"This is amazing!" I shriek and it is.

Mac laughs "Yeah its pretty cool. We try to train in everything. We swim and run for endurance and cardio vascular strength. For strength we have the climbing wall and the trees. The high course tests a variety of different things and you see that when they are falling they try to straighten themselves out and use their momentum so that they don't hit the water too flat and hard."

"And once a month the pups will all go on a run and anyone can come if they want to so we will have a lot of people running. Sometimes Luca will come. There is one in a few days that we could go to."

"Cool!"

We start heading back to the main house.

"Uhhg. The clothes are so dirty! I need new ones." I groan.

"There is a town about  a 45 minute drive from here. There is a mall we can go!"

"Sure. Tomorrow?" I ask.

"Deal"
