"Hey, pass the ball to me!" you shouted, running towards the rim. A boy classmate of yours passed the ball and you caught it. Swiftly, you jumped and performed a three-point shot. It went into the net. "Yes!" you fist-pumped, grinning.
"Good job, (L/N)!" the boys in your team cheered. You high-fived them. One of them pulled you into a head-lock, laughing.
Every day, at break, you'd play basketball or soccer with your male classmates. At first, they were reluctant to let you in but now you're an inseparable part of their group. You enjoyed sports, like them.
Unlike other girls at school, you didn't wear the regulated female uniform. No, you wore the boy's uniform. Your hair was chopped short so they didn't get stuck to your face when you did sports. You also never wore make-up or accessories.
You're simply a tomboy.
But that didn't mean tomboyish girls didn't have crushes. In fact, you had this guy you liked so much. In fact, he was the guy who passed that ball to you.
Himuro Tatsuya - the school prince. Every girl at school, including you, adored him. He was handsome, smart, polite and gentlemanly. He's like an idol.
Usually, at recess, he'd hang out with his best friend - Murasakibara Atsushi. But today, after constant begging from your friends, he agreed to play. You didn't know why but he chose to switch team and got into yours instead.
"(L/N)-san." The guy who was holding you in a head-luck let you go, going over to get drinks. You looked up at Himuro Tatsuya. He smiled. "Your shot was very good."
You blushed. "R-really? T-thanks, I guess."
"I often see you play basketball or soccer with the other boys. Do you like basketball?"
"Y-yeah, I do."
"In that case, why don't you come watch basketball practice today?" he offered. "I think you will enjoy it very much."
Your eyes widened. Wow, Himuro just asked you to go and watch his basketball practice. Today must be a lucky day for you. "S-sure!"
OoOoO
Basketball practice was intense. It was full of tall guys. The shorter ones were also pretty amazing. Looking at them playing, you quickly knew who were the regulars.
After practice, Himuro ran towards you, smiling. "(L/N)-san!"
You waved, blushing. He really was handsome. "Hey. I hope I'm not disturbing."
"No, in fact your presence here is very supportive." He chuckled. You tilted your head slightly to the side, not really understanding what he meant. You hadn't really done anything. "Would you like to play?"
"Eh?" you blinked. "Is that okay?"
"Of course. I'll talk to the coach." Then he left for Araki-sensei. You gulped when her eyes met yours. She was one of the strictest teachers at school and you feared her.
In the end, you were permitted to play. You were sure that Himuro must have used his charm on her. Wait, would it even work on someone as stiff as Araki-sensei?
You removed the black blazer than took off you tie. You could hear some members talking about how you're weird for wearing the boy's uniform but ignored them. You were used to people talking about how you dressed.
This was who you were.
Playing basketball was fun, as always. But you were a little frustrated at how strong and tall they were. Every time your ball got even close to the rim, Murasakibara would smack it away as if it were a fly. It hurt your ego.
"(L/N)-san!" Himuro called. Backing away from Fukui, you passed the ball to him. He caught it then performed this amazing shot that made the ball vanished. You gawked.
"Himuro, that's awesome!" you approached him, beaming. "What's that move? You gotta teach me! The ball was like there then it vanished then it was like... woosh! It went into the net! That's so cool!"
He laughed softly, "Thank you." He patted your head. "I don't mind teaching you. Let's play basketball again sometimes."
Noticing that you were standing so close to him and he was touching you, your face reddened. "T-that'd be, uh... great."
You walked home with the regulars, still buzzing from their awesome play. It'd be great if you could play with them again.
A hand grabbed your wrist and you were pulled to the back of the group. No one seemed to notice since they were talking among themselves. You looked at Himuro. "Himuro?"
"Can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure." The two of you walked slowly. "What is it?"
"First, will you look this way?"
You obeyed and did as told, turning your head to the side so you could look at him. You almost shriek when you found his face mere inches from yours. But he covered your mouth before you could scream with his lips. You were frozen stiff while he kissed you gently.
When you parted, you could hear the loud thumping of your heart in your ears. Your chest was starting to hurt from how fast your heart was beating at that moment.
Smiling, Himuro raised a finger to his lips. "Let's keep that a secret from the others. Okay?" You nodded robotically. He took your hand in his and kissed the back of it. "I love you, (L/N)-san. Will you be my girlfriend?"
You couldn't believe he was confessing to you while his friends were chatting just there.
"I-if you don't mind someone like me." you scratched the back of your head shyly. "I mean... I'm not exactly like most girls."
"That's okay. After all," he stopped and hugged you. "I fall in love with you just the way you are."
OoOoO
Extra:
"Damn that, Himuro! Damn him!" Okamura cried; biting his handkerchief as tears ran down his face. "He thinks we don't hear everything."
"Sush! I can't hear!" Fukui elbowed him, trying to listen to how Himuro was confessing to you.
"Muro-chin, good luck~" Murasakibara murmured before he bit into his Maiubo. Liu sighed.
OoOoO
The first one-shot for someone out of the GoM. Requested by Jady_k2145. I hope you enjoyed this and it is up to your liking!
I hope will get another request. People, who do want next? Please don't be shy to send me a message of request!
I hope Himuro is not OOC though. I feel like I'm doing a better job in keeping the GoM in character than the people out of the group. Please tell me if I did Himuro incorrectly and I'll try to better him next time.
Thank you!
Love,
