narrations for my au (3)

first time.

callie will be lying if she says she doesn't have a reason for staying. actually, she can tag along with soonyoung but she chose to stay and ask her cousin to fetch her at 7:30 at night. the reason? she wanted to wait for jihoon, it'll be the third time for the week— well the first two times were a coincidence and they didn't talk much, nakisabay lang siya kay soonyoung at jihoon pababa, but this time she will try to wait for him.

since it was already past seven and a mutual friend of theirs have said that jihoon will be going home late, she decided to come down now as she pressed the button of the elevator. as the elevator opens at the very end, she ran and pressed the button again to keep it open but her eyes widened as she was greeted by a man coming out from the elevator.

her cheeks started to heat up as she immediately entered the elevator and tried to distract herself when the man followed her inside too. as the elevator closed, silence filled in as she looks at the numbers crossing her arms since there are no signal inside.

"uhm. hindi ka nag-library?" she broke the silence as she heard a cough from her side, "nope. ikaw?" she turns her head in a confused frown being greeted by the soft features of the man, she unconciously smiled and points to herself, "anong ako?" she asks as the man stutters.

"i mean, anong ginagawa mo sa library? hindi ba close na 'yan kanina?" he tries to start a conversation as callie faced in front again avoiding the gaze of the man, she shakes her head and replies, "hindi naman. well magsasara pa lang sila that's why i went out na, and baka nandyan na rin sundo ko." she says more of a whisper afraid that she might blurt out something that can add the awkwardness inside.

"ikaw?" she starts again, looking at her side and sees that jihoon was resting by the corner fiddling with the hem of his uniform.

"anong ako?" he asks back looking at her eyes with a confused expression. she chuckles unknowingly making jihoon mirror her.

"i mean, if hindi ka naglibrary bakit umabot ka sa ano," she made gestures pointing at the top, "12th floor, eh wala naman na masyado tao?" she asks straight to the point.

jihoon gulped and felt his palms sweating, before he can even answer the elevator opened and was greeted by two employees going down as well. they stayed quiet for a moment until jihoon breaks it again.

"round trip," he mumbles making callie's head turn to him in confusion, "round trip ako ng elevator." he says louder this time.

callie can't help but laugh softly because she might disturb the other people with them inside. "ah, ginagawa mo rin pala 'yon?" she asks as jihoon shakes his head, "hindi?" she adds making jihoon look at her again.

hindi. he thoughts

"ay ano, oo, ginagawa ko 'yon minsan kasama si soonyoung." he lies, kasi apparently, jihoon hates it when he takes long inside the elevator because it makes him dizzy, but this time his feet brought him to where he is right now and he doesn't even know why as well.

"ah—"

"uwi ka—"

they both laughed as the elevator opens seeing that they're at the ground floor already.

"sige ikaw muna," jihoon urges as callie walks out getting his id from her bag, "wala actually sasabihin ko lang ah" she says feeling all awkward. jihoon scratches his nape shyly as he tapped his id getting out from the campus, "ikaw may sasabihin ka ba?" she asks looking at him as they made their way towards the exit,

"ano—"

"bub!" she hears her endearment from her kuyas as they both turned their head where the voice came from, "oh! good, just arrived." the man walked towards them getting the bag from callie, "kuya shu!" she greets with a smile plastered on her face, "oh and hello, you are?" joshua asks as he saw jihoon standing beside callie,

"jihoon po" he says in his small voice as callie looks at him fondly. joshua turns his head to callie raising his eyebrow with a hint of surprise, "oh?" he whispers to callie earning a soft kick by the back of his legs making joshua laugh.

"may kasabay ka ba umuwi?" joshua asks at jihoon who shakes his head, "una na po ako," jihoon replies as joshua stopped him again, "sabay ka na samin." joshua says as callie slapped his arm making joshua yelp in surprise, jihoon looks back and smiled softly, "hindi na po, sa other side po yung daan ko." he says pointing at the right side of the building.

joshua nods, "ingat ka ha? sige una na ako sa car," joshua says pushing callie softly towards jihoon who raised both of his eyebrows putting both of his hands by the pocket of his windbreaker,

"uh ano, ingat ka." jihoon says first as callie smiles,

"ingat ka rin," she replies as she walks off getting inside the car.

as the car drives off, she sees that jihoon hasn't moved to the place where she left him as she also noticed that he was still looking at their car driving off.

"cute siya ha." joshua comments looking beside callie who's already resting her head by the window, she hums closing her eyes.

"sobra." she replies earning a chuckle from joshua.

"kaso awkward kayo," he adds earning a soft punch by his arm, "kuya!" joshua kept laughing as they drive off under the city lights.
