The non stop moving in my life seemed almost non-stop so this really isn't something new to me. Being taken on the other half is a whole other matter! Sure I got in the car with him, only so he wouldn't kill me but now I wish I could just punch his pretty face and run for it.

Even if I'm not sure where I am or how to get home, there's a path, some woods and I have a flashlight on my keys. The opportunity is tempting but it's too much risk, he could shoot me if he had a gun, that I'm sure of. The guards could run after me until I was out of breath and still have theirs, so running isn't an option. This is going to be a lot harder than I have ever imagined being kidnapped would be like.

As a kid, the training exercises would be easy. Getting free from rope, getting free from tape. Oh, the days when my parents were alive.

Something just doesn't feel right about this place. I know this guy is super rich but like one hundred men with guns seems a bit over exaggerated, if you ask me. My parents were both CEO's of their company and the only bodyguards they had were the ones in the lobby area. None of this makes sense and I need to know what he is hiding.

So far, he's a ghost. Cold as ice but hard as stone. He found out about me even though I was kept a secret for almost nineteen years. My parents somehow owed him a million dollars and then this man shot them. He called me and I brought him the million dollars only for him to kidnap me but he doesn't want the money? It's not even like I'm worth anything. Sure I'm my parents daughter but none of their business went to me, I got nothing other than the house. My own business doesn't make as much as theirs made, so why does he want me?

"Charlie, will you listen?" the man shakes me back into reality.

"Oh I'm sorry, what were you saying?" he lets go of my arms by shoving his hands into his suit pockets.

"How much of what I've said have you actually heard?" he questions me as he glares at me, how I hate him doing that already and I've only just met the guy.

"Well let's see, last thing you said was," I pause for a moment to remember the last thing he was talking about, "it was Charlie Hathaway, welcome to your new home". New home? Wait I'm living here! This is crazy and totally stupid, what man in the right mind kidnaps someone, shows them their house and then tells them that they have to live there too.

"I've been speaking to you for half an hour and you didn't hear any of it!" he begins to mumble something under his breath but I can only make out, "this is going to be harder than I thought".

"I'm sorry, your highness but you just kidnapped me, how do you think I feel!".

It looks like he picked up on my sarcasm which probably will not go down well with him. For heaven's sake Charlie, this guys dangerous and you're being sarcastic with him. Good job! Now he's probably going to kill you. Let's just hope that isn't the case here. No wonder my parents were scared of this guy, his eyes pierce through you like a severing knife.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" he comes closer leaving little space between us.

"N-nothing!" I begin to stutter, "I didn't say anything" this day really isn't going well for me, is it?

"No no, I believe you said something."

"Nope nothing, not a single word."he is extremely intimidating, that fact that he has a gun makes this situation so much worse. I wish I kept my mouth shut.

"That's what I thought!" his eyes shift over my shoulder, only to see his hand wave like he was dismissing something. Strange. I shift my body around slightly to see what was happening, only to see three men putting their guns away. Suddenly, I am facing him again making eye contact once more. Every time we do this it makes me uncomfortable.

"You good there?" his eyes close leaving me to stare at him, even with his eyes closed he still looks like a god.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he sighs and turns around to face his home, "like I was saying before, you're staying here with me, this place is guarded and completely surrounded, twenty four seven, with high end surveillance system so don't think about trying to escape because you can't". Great so I'm stuck here with no way out. So much for any plan I come up with. "Any questions?" he turns to face me as I glance to my brain.

"How long will I be staying here?"

"For however long I say so," rude much. "Anything else?"

"Yeah um, do you live with anyone else?"

"Just a few close friends of mine, don't worry about them, they won't annoy you too much, I hope,". This guy has more mood changes than a pregnant woman, he needs to just be normal like he is right now. Calm and possibly collective, I can't tell with him, his face just looks mad all the time.

The deafening silence is killing me. Maybe I should say something, I don't know. What would I even say.

All of a sudden, the sound of shattering glass bleeds through my ears leaving me frozen.

"GET DOWN!" the man shouts leaving his voice repeating itself over and over again in my ear. Loud voices begin to come out of nowhere as more glass shatters.

"I need five sets of eyes on the roof, search around, we are under attack!" the man starts to say as others reply. I can only guess he has an earpiece in from all the noise coming through. He then pulls out a gun, leaving me in complete dismay. I knew he had a gun on him, I just can't believe I was actually right about it.

The air becomes thick as my eyesight becomes blurry. I can't feel my body, what is happening? My body begins to fall before I hit the ground I feel warmth wrap around me.

"Charlie!". "Charlie, answer me!". "Charlie!"

"No, don't close your eyes!" he pleads only I can't reply. "Charlie don't you dare close your eyes". "No Charlie!" all noise begins to fade as I lose consciousness.

His deep voice is the last thing I hear before everything goes black and silent.
