The sky darkens as Charlie comes to her destination only to realise how late she really is. Something about this place seemed weird and it gave her an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach leaving her short of breath and trying to pull away from it. As she paid the taxi driver, she turned again to face the dark, menacing alleyway that held the mysterious man she now owed money to.

This place smells of urine and burning. No wonder why this place is dangerous and sketchy. It explains why they never let me anywhere near this neighbourhood and I lived on the upper east side. They always told me to steer clear of this part of town but I never understood why, sure it looks weird and it smells disgusting, but I'm sure there is lots of culture and uniqueness down here.

All this really does make me wonder, what my parents really were up to, I know they did everything to make me the best and they did. I got the highest grades possible and they had loads of money because of the business, but why is it that they owe well owed money to this strange guy? I can't seem to find an explanation for all of this behaviour, I'm sure they had a good reason but if they needed money they could've called, messaged but no, nothing. I know they basically left me when I was fourteen to fend for myself and they never paid any attention to me but surely, they would've told me or even said something so I could've helped them. Look where this got them, if they said something, they wouldn't be in the ground right now decaying away.

This guy's voice keeps on replaying in my head and I still can't understand why. I don't know who he is but did my parents? If I give him the money, will he leave me alone? That is all I hope for now. He seemed like he was mad or something but what really confuses me is the fact he knew my name and how he knew my parents too.

"For fuck sake, she is late!" Ryder stares into the alleyway waiting for her to appear. She better turn up with the money, or we are going to have a huge problem. I hate doing this but what choice do I have when he owed me money and didn't pay before he died. I never thought though how is she supposed to pay it back even when her father couldn't pay me back a dollar of it. Although there are other ways she could pay me back seeing as that money isn't even a dent in the money I make everyday.

Why does he even need this money that badly, that he couldn't even wait for me to pay it back? Surely a man who earns this much money and can give it away like that has a lot of money so why does he need it back straight away? Why couldn't my parents pay this guy back? I mean they have so much money from the business that they don't even need it all. This isn't fair! Some part of me is scared of this place and no wonder that both my parents were fearful of this person, this guy.

A shadow approaches into the dim light that just about lights up the space in front of me. As the shadow creeps closer the person it belongs to appears, revealing a small woman about 5'4 with dark brown hair that reaches over her shoulders. As she slowly approaches into the light, more of her features become apparent only making me want to know more about her. As she gazes into the shadow of the alley, I can tell she is confused, possibly thinking she was in the wrong place, my god was she adorable.

Where is he? I know I'm late and all but surely he wouldn't have left without this large sum of money. I mean this is a lot and he sounded like he really wanted it. Surely, a man with that intensity, that sheer power couldn't be late? Right? Anyway, what would he even do with this money? Surely with this much money he could buy anything he wants but why does he need it from me? Whatever reason it is, after this I won't see this guy again and put all this creepy stuff behind me, honestly I just want all of this over with, only if he would actually show...

"Ah, here she finally is!" I smirk as I stalk towards her, leaving her puzzled to the sound of my voice, probably once again seeing as the last time we spoke was over a phone, when I was demanding money from her. This money doesn't mean much to me but to put a face to that voice is settling in it's own way. She's very beautiful from afar and most likely even better up close.

Usually, after I collect my money, shooting is my next stage but maybe, just maybe, I have something else in mind for this young lady.

As the mysterious man approaches, I notice his hair as dark as the shade black. Shirt white as paint. His eyes like daggers, giving off that mafia, gang vibe. If he doesn't already look like trouble from afar, I'm definitely in trouble now, for sure. His piercing blue eyes met my green ones and a small chuckle arose from his chest, leaving me slightly breathless. A smirk is apparent on his face as he stares into my soul, giving a slight shudder from my behalf.

I know I'm going to have to speak at some point, like come on Charlie! Say something! You're in a weird alley and in the most dangerous part of the city, you need to get out of here before you get shot!

"I-I have the m-money!" stuttering isn't going to help you here Charlie, just put the money in his hand and turn away and leave, better yet run, no no be like the flash and go at that speed all the way home, and then move house so he never finds you in there. Like how did he find me? Or even about me in the first place? No one barely knew about me, unless my file and photos in the house were found and then, well that explains it.

"You're going to have to give me the money at some point sweetheart, because neither want to be here and especially you don't want to be here!" oh he's talking, makes sense seeing as I've basically been talking to myself this whole time but still just give him the money.

His sudden appearance in front of me, startles me, making me take a step back and leaving the suitcase in his hands.

I turn around leaving him standing there only to be stopped and spun around to meet his eyes. "Umm, I'm sorry I would like to go home now?" I question slightly, trying to take a step back but being moved closer to him.

"Well I don't know where you think you're going sweetheart, but now you're mine,"
