Why is she not responding? God Charlie, please wake up. I don't want to deal with this as well. I am a man of many responsibilities, I don't have time for damsels in distress, so wake up! Respond to me god damn it! What am I supposed to do with her, I can't run into the house or I risk getting shot. I can't go around the building because I have no clue how many more men there are getting ready to shoot innocent men saving damsels in distress. Well not exactly innocent but you get the point.

Wait a second! I remember that there is another way in, but I'll act fast, without being seen... or getting shot. I'll need to give the boys a signal to cover me and if my calculations are correct (which they usually are) I should make it in time to get her into the hospital before she loses too much blood.

Rounds of guns firing shot through the air blaring in every man's ears. He knew that if he glared at any of his men for long enough, they would feel the awkward, tense feeling and face towards it. As he glared into the back of his men one turned and to his surprise was the newest member of the crew. With a few nods and glances towards others, he made a run for it holding Charlie for dear life, with only the hope that he made it in time. But to his dismay, a damp feeling spread down his arm. He had been shot. The blood began to gush as he reached the small door surrounded by trees.

Slipping through the door, he made a frantic break for the infirmary. He continued to duck down and miss all the windows to avoid any more injuries. He was determined to get himself patched up but even he couldn't help wondering in the back of his mind if this girl was going to make it.

Reaching the infirmary, two doctors jolted up in shock as he kicked open the doors. As he reached them, one noticed the girl in his arms and questioned what was happening.

"There really is no time to explain all of this, I need one of you to help her and the other with me." The taller doctor took Charlie in his arms and placed her on a bed, whilst the other began to stitch up his arm.

"Doctor we need you over here, this girl is losing a lot of blood!". The doctors finished patching up his arm, when they ran over to help Charlie.

"So what happened to her exactly?" the shorter one turns to him.

"She got shot, middle abdomen," he intercepts as they turn to him.

"Why didn't you bring her to us sooner?" the taller one exclaims.

"I don't know, maybe because I was being SHOT AT!" he begins to shout as they wheel her towards an operating room. With a swing of the doors, he was left alone again. He didn't know when he would see her again, but all he knew was that he would wait.

Thought rapidly raced through his mind like a blur but one thing stuck. He was going to find the son of a bitch who shot her and take him down.

Pulling the gun from his side, he joins back in firing only this time from the windows upstairs. Shots fired all over the courtyard as people dropped to the ground, breathing their last breaths, taking their last shots, saying their last words. Was it all worth it? All the blood, all the loss, all the meaningless deaths, all for what a victor and a loser...

None of this mattered to him, only winning. Their men, his men, were losing their lives for what. Nothing. Just to prove he was the best. In the back of his mind, the thought of Charlie baffled him as he couldn't concentrate on shooting the 'bad guys' down.

The firing began to quieten until it came to a stop. Had the men fled? No, they were all dead, every single one. Or at least that's what he thought. As he began the descent of the stairs to see the damage, a voice boomed from the outside.

"I know you're in there, I know she's here too.Bring her to me and no more innocent men shall fall." The familiar voice struck in his mind as he searched for the familiar face that went with it.
