You raised my hopes so high,
So high that when it came crashing it took days and when it hit the ground the impact was like that of an astroid crashing into the planet earth.
I know you'll want to play it off...
It hurts more than it looks but I don't expect you to understand,
I don't even expect an apology ....just want you to know how I feel.
Don't try to fake your sympathy,
Don't even be truly sorry cos it won't change anything...
I'll still feel same.
Please don't try to understand,
Be nonchalant like you are always.
Trample on my broken pieces,
Grind me to the dust where I can gather myself no more
... I'll learn to live broken.
Help me put my broken pieces together
... I'll still never see you the same way I use to.
All I need you to do is leave me alone,
Let me close your chapter in my life so it'll be like you never existed.
Explanation:
Shattered is all about being hurt, so hurt that you don't want the on that hurt you to do anything. You don't want the person to fix it neither do you want the person to apologise, all you want is for the person to leave your life so you'll forget they ever existed.
