I Broke You.

Accused.

Nick was plonked in some interrogation room and he was dying to leave so he could see Olivia. That's all he wanted but no. IAB doesn't work like that. "So why'd you try and kill detective Benson?"

"I-I didn't!" Nick yelled.

"You didn't? Well she says differently"

"I'm a lot of things but I'm not an idiot, you haven't even gotten to talk to her yet" Nick snapped.

"OK well here's what I'm thinking. Maybe we got things wrong, she's innocent. Maybe it was you? She found out and you couldn't let her expose you, so you were gonna make it look like a suicide but then you realised she had nothing on you and felt bad. Her alcohol level was pretty high she probably wouldn't be a reliable wittrness, right?"

"No! I didn't! Why would I kill Elliot? I don't have anything against him?"

"Did she reject you?"

"What?"

"Maybe she chose detective Stabler. You're a good looking guy. Why shouldn't she choose you. And with him out of the picture you'd have no trouble making your way into her pants"

"No!"

"Well when they got together they couldn't be partners so you stepped up. Why would you do that if  you didn't have feelings for her?"

"No. I'm the only other detective she works well with"

"In your opinion?"

"No my captains!"

"OK your captain... Right...so tell me has she been spending more time with you lately?"

"Yes"

"Interesting. So you've never had any feelings for her?" Tucker asked and Nick looked down.

"Yes" he mumbled.

"So you killed detective Stabler and gave detective Benson a shoulder to cry on so she'd get close to you and realise that she didn't need any other man once she had you"

"No. I'm not a creep!"

"Oh so you just wanted to screw her and leave and you didn't kill Elliot?"

"No! I would never"

"So you did kill Elliott?"

"No! I'm just saying that I would never just screw her and leave. She is beautiful and smart. She deserves someone who understands, someone who will take care of her, someone who's patient with her, someone she can trust"

"So you?" Tucker asked hoping that maybe Nick had finally slipped up. He needed to make things easier for himself. That's not the case.

"No. Elliot. I know she really loved him. He treated her right. I don't know if she's ever gonna recover from this" Nick said sadly. Tucker was annoyed, so he left Nick alone with his thoughts.
