Macey's Pov

I frantically run around, trying to find my maths homework. I check everywhere but I really can't find. I'm about to call Mum when my dog, Gatsby, spits something out at my feet. I kneel down to examine it and, when I realise what it is, I groan loudly.

"What is it darling?" Mum asks me coming down the stairs. My mum is a tall, thin women with bright, green eyes and an amazing personality. She met my dad on Christmas Eve, 1999 and, within the month, Mum was pregnant with me. Dad didn't stick around when he found out, ran off to god knows where. If I ever meet the guy, it isn't going to be pretty. Mum raised me on my own and I defiantly wasn't problem free. Apparently, I'm a lot like him with my love of poetry and music. I wish I wasn't.

"Well you know that excuse the dog ate my homework well..." I say, holding up what's left off my maths homework.

"That's not funny," she sniggers, even though I'm trying not to laugh.

"Well, my teacher defiantly won't think it's funny," I say, wiping the dog slobber of my hand. I grab my bag and head out the door, already laughing at my friends reaction to my homework.

Remi's Pov

I cram my PE kit into bag, five minutes after I was meant to meet my friends on the corner.

"Aren't you meant to have left?" My sister snarls, in an especially bad mood today. My older sister looks a lot like me, with long hair and dark, brown eyes but we are nothing alike. I'm really into learning and have weird passion for architecture whereas she couldn't care less about her grades and her only passion is for makeup.

"Yes but someone was in the shower for half an hour this morning!" I complain, giving her a look.

"What's going on?" Mum asks, sounding frustrated. Technically, she's my step-mum but I love her and know her as my mum. She's small women with short, brown hair and kind eyes. I have so much admiration for her. She's raised a child, and not an easy one, who isn't her own and hasn't complained once.

"I'm late because Kiera was to long in the shower," I say, pointing at her.

"Well that's life!" She states storming off. She must the most dramatic person I know. I sigh a and throw my bag over my shoulder. I'm about leave when Dad stops me.

"Aren't you going to say bye?" He asks smiling. My is medium height with dark hair and bright eyes. He always tells me I'm the smartest person he knows and I can do anything I want. He never talks about my real mum or what happened accept the fact that she dumped me on their doorstep and had nothing more to do with me. It stings.

I run out the door, trying get there as fast as I can.

Sara's Pov

"James! Where have you put it!" I yell up to my brother.

"I haven't got your dam calculator!" He yells back. I sigh and try to find it. My brother is two years older than me and so tall that he has to bend down to get through doors.

I scramble around trying to find, knowing I'll get a detention if I don't bring it. I look for ages and find it under the dog. I shake my head and shove it in my bag.

"Mum! I'm going!" I yell, heading towards the door.

"See you later then," Mum replies, poking her head out the kitchen door. My mum is short women with dark hair and kind heart. She always there for me and my brother; hasn't let us down once, unlike my dad. From what I'm told, they met 1999 and got up to anything and everything. I don't much about him because doesn't like to talk about it. James tells me that he did love Mum but he just had a funny way of showing it. Not long after he left, she found out she was pregnant with me. I would say more but that's all I know.
