Chapter 10 (Welcome to the Quest!)

Nico's POV

Us Demigods were the first to react to the growl. We all backed up into a circle to watch from all directions. After a few seconds, the Egyptians reacted and spread out, but not that far, around us, with the magical-wand-weapons-thingys prepared to fight with.

Sadie started drawing a giant chalk circle around us all. Then she rasied her staffy-thingy and the circle started glowing, creating a dome-like thing around us.

"That should protect us from any danger. Just once you step out of this circle, you can't get back in." Sadie explained to us.

"Can we shoot things out of it?" Frank asked, lowering his bow.

"Yes you can. Now shush so we can listen." Carter said in a hushed voice.

I heard russling in the bushes to my left. We all turned towards it in the blink of an eye. Then a small rabbit jumped out into the opening.

"Well that was saddening on our part..." Leo said. Just then a giant Hellhound jumped out and ate the rabbit in one bite. Leo screamed really high-pitched and jumped onto Walt, who was standing next to him.

Walt peeled Leo off of him.

"Sorry..." Although Leo didn't sound very apologetic.

Everyone turned their attention back to the monster, to see Percy petting it.

All of the Egyptians gasped loudly, while we all started laughing.

"Why are youn laughing?! IT'S A MONSTER!" Zia screamed and shot a beam of light at Mrs. O' Leary. Percy quickly uncapped RipTide and blocked the beam. Mrs. O' Leary growed at Zia.

"Guys... This is Mrs. O' Leary! She is my PET!" Percy laughed. "Wait... Aren't you ususally with Tyson?" Percy directed that towards Mrs. O' Leary.

"Yeah she is." A cyclopes stepped out of the trees. "Hey brother!" Tyson said.

"TYSON!" Percy and Annabeth screaed and ran to him giving the cyclopes a giant hug.

"What the hell is going on....." Sadie said, her British accent showing. Wait.... She is British?

"This is my half-brother, Tyson, the Cyclopes!" Percy exclaimed proudly. "Don't worry he is safe."

"Are these people my brother's friends?" Tyson asked excitedly.

"Yup!" Annabeth smiled. "This is Sadie, Carter, Zia, Walt, Jaz, Cleo, and Alyssa!"

Tyson bounded towards the Egyptins with his arms spred wide for a hug. They scattered in fright. Tyson frowned and looked like he wanted to cry.

"Guys just let him hug you! He is not going to kill you! He is just going to give you a bone crushing hug!" Percy laughed.

They looked up in horror at his joke. They got up slowly and one by one hugged Tyson, awkwardly.

"Sooo.... Tyson.... What brings you here?" I ask.

"Oh! I was just sitting out here for the night when I smelt brother. I saw him leaving camp and decided to follow!" Tyson smiled giddly.

"Ok.... Tyson do you want to come with us?" Annabeth asked.

"Of course!" Tyson exclaimed.

Percy quickly explained what we were doing.

"Ok! Looks like we need to get a move on then! Let's go!" Tyson started skipping through the woods away from camp.

Leo shrugged and happily skipped after him.

I started laughing and jogged after them with the others right behind me.

Hey guys! I am already thinking of the how the ending is going to go! Like literally like five chapter left of this book! Then I will start on the third, AND FINAL, book in this Trilogy!
