Chapter 6 (Attack 1)

Hazel POV (I'm going through a Hazel phase right now...)

When I woke up the next morning, I had a pounding headache. I checked to see if Nico was sleeping still, and of course he was. As usual he was in a fetal position with the blankets only bundled up sitting on his chest. I could tell he was shivering.

I wasn't really feeling nice today, so I pushed him off the bed.

"AHHHHHH!" He sprang up from the other side of the bed, sword in hand, in his underwear. I laughed and pointed at him. "Haha. Laugh it up. Hey you weren't pushed off a bed in your first dreamless sleep in forever."

"Awww I'm sorry." I pinched his cheek and made a pouty face. He glared at me and put in some skinny jeans, which by the way turned out baggy on him.

"Rockin those jeans." I observe, earning another glare from my half-brother. I smiled cheerfully in response and skipped out the door. The headache was almost gone now. I guess it's just a morning thing! (Remember that headache it is important. I am telling you now so you don't forget it!)

"Don't be late to breakfast!" I yell over my shoulder.

When I turned around, I stopped dead in my tracks. My gaze was met with a war zone. It looked like a mix between greek monsters and demons. I unsheathed my long dagger and charged, yelling a battle cry something like, "YOU SHALL PAY FOR DISTURBING BREAKFAST!!!!!!" I know..... Random......

I watched amazed as the Egyptians used wands and staffs to do amazing things. Although they weren't fast, they still took out more monsters per.... Spell? I used my senses to kill the monsters or demons trying to attack me while I watched.

When I started to become tired, I became a bit dazed, so I was moving slower. The enemies numbers were dwindling, but so were what little demigods that decided to fight. Only about 20 demigods decided to fight, and now we were down to only 10, the seven including me, Nico, Drew, and Butch (who remembers him?).

Percy slashed through the last monster turning it into golden dust, while Carter made the last demon explode into..... Sand?

We mourned over the 10 dead bodies. I recognized some of them as my friends. My eyes filled with tears as Frank and Nico dragged me away from the horrific scene. I know the drill.... We will have a proper burial later. How will Chiron tell their mortal parents?

"Are you ok, Hazel?" Frank asked me.

"I'm fine I have just had enough of seeing my friends die to monsters..." I trailed off.

Frank pull my head to look into his eyes. He looked like he was thinking the same thing. Then he embraced me. We sighed in unison. "Me too. Let's go to breakfast now. Come on. It should help get your mind off things."

I grinned. "Race you there." I dashed off.

"Hey! You should at least give a fair warning!" He complained behind me and him being the amazing Frank he is, he caught up to me. We laughed as we entered the eating area. The magicians and the others were already there.
