Chapter 3 (The Bloody Drakon)

Sadie's POV

I know what your thinking. How come every time something bad happens you decide to run to the rescue OR That I should not have let Carter off so easily. OR (and this is the final OR) That I am your favorite magician.

When I heard the roar, I practically jumped ten feet in the air while Carter screamed like a girl. At least my question was answered when Walt, Zia, Jaz, Alyssa, Cleo, Felix, and the younger initiates came running in.

"I think you might wanna see this..." Walt led us to the balcony where you could see a huge gilled, ugly, fish with legs thingy.

"Is that a Drakon?" Mr. Wikipedia's mouth dropped wide open.

"I thought those were just a Greek Myth!" Cleo complained.

"Well we found out the Greek Myths aren't actually Myths." I short explained.

"We need to get over there. Felix you need to stay here and watch the young initiates. Walt, Zia, Jaz, Cleo, and Alyssa. You guys need to come with us, and something this big will probably attract more attention then just us Egyptians." Carter looked at me and I nodded.

"Ok let's go! Felix, don't let them out of your sight!" I yell to him.

"I won't don't worry!" Just as he said that, Sean, a young initiate, ran into another room. I shook my head and we hurried to the roof to ride Freak to Long Beach where we saw the Drakon.

When we got there the Drakon seemed about 15 feet tall. I think that is small for a Drakon. I think. Opposite from us eight people were running towards the Drakon. I noticed one of them had long wavy and curly blonde hair, princess style. I could recognize that anywhere. It was Annabeth. I assumed the boy with black messy hair was Percy because of the very detailed description she gave me of him.

"Percy?!" Carter said sounding a bit hopeful.

"Hey Carter. See that girl with blonde hair? That's Annabeth. I am guess those eight kids are all demigods that Annabeth told me about." I smiled.

When they saw us they decided to come talk to us before taking on the Drakon. Annabeth and I ran into each other a gave each other a big hug. Thank god it was actually Annabeth.

Annabeth's POV

Practically on cue, Jason, Piper, Leo, Hazel, Frank, and Nico all ran to the Poseidon table.

"We got a Drakon problem." Jason said.

"Aw come on! Last time I met one of those, I was in Tartarus." Percy Complained.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"It's over by Long Beach. It is about 15 feet tall. I reckon that is small for a Drakon." Piper answered this time.

"Definitely." Then I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. "Why were you two even over there? That's far away."

"Oh I was kind of flying around with Piper when we spotted it." Jason blurted out then noticed what he said and turned a light pink color along with Piper.

"Yeah well unless we want some kind of freak accident, I think we should stop talking and start walking." Percy actually said something smart for once! AND he made it rhyme!

"Congrats Seaweed Brain! You sounded smart and you rhymed all in one sentence!" I patted him on the head.

"HA! Now you can't call me Seaweed Brain anymore! I am smart!" Percy did some kind of superman pose.

We all broke out laughing and between gasps Leo said, "Good luck with that." Which made us laugh even harder.

It took us about five whole minutes to finally calm down. The eight of us rushed out of camp deciding to go now and answer questions later.

Finally in about 20 minutes we reached the beach.

"Damn..." Leo looked in aw at the Drakon, took a quick picture saying that it was going on Instagram later, and kept running.

About 200 feet in front of us, we saw seven figures in the distance. One had some rainbow highlights in her hair. Well that's obviously Sadie. I guessed the boy standing next to her was her brother Carter.

"Hey Percy! Look who it is!" I pointed to them and he gasped and ran faster weaving his way around the monster.

I ran up to Sadie and embraced her in a huge hug. Last time it seemed a bit awkward but this time I was prepared. I was so happy to see her which is weird cause I met her just a few hours ago. I pulled away to see Carter and Percy gaping at each other. Then their arms moved up at the same time and pointed at the other.

"Carter?" Percy said in disbelief.

"Percy?" Carter had the same tone in his voice.

"Wow. How ya been battle buddy?" Percy snapped out of his shock.

"Great. Um I think we should talk later. We have a Drakon problem." Carter moved his pointing finger from Percy to the Drakon.

As if on cue, the Drakon turned towards us and charged.
